  • I remeber this black and white cartoon, I just like watching it move to the left ha ha

  • The goat, the blimp, and the sped up dancers were always my favorite parts.

  • Well, here's one we'll never see again, due in part to the smoking. But this was always a favorite!

  • Good times.

  • Is the "v" the van halen logo?

  • Who knows, but I like the letter v.

  • Sweet! I don't know why, but I've always wanted to see this again. Something about it fascinated me to no end.

'Course, it's even better now that I know about the Rube Goldberg diagrams it's based on, that always used letters to define the steps.

Don't suppose anyone knows where I can find the one where they create the letters all in different ways, like one is drawn in the sand and the X is repeated all over a computer screen, do you?

  • I don't really understand how this contraption works.

  • Interesting.. I never noticed this before, but the boy misses the baseball the second time. However, I guess the person who added the sound effect failed to notice this! (or else the baseball crashed into something behind him!)

  • He had to miss the baseball, otherwise the alphabet will begin again! ;-D

  • Well, there was a radio/movie theater ticket booth, complete with window (K), a fish bowl there (L), a tank of water (T), and some lab equipment (U), so yeah, the baseball coulda hit something around there. But I also agree with lfrage, if he hit the baseball, then this thing would never have ended.

  • That goat had to ram the television set revealing the letter "n", otherwise that part would have been boring. :-)

  • Talk about perpetual motion!

  • Sawing...I know somewhere you have that ape making his getaway..and a loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter...

  • :D oldstyle

  • Classic Sesame Street is THE BEST, and this cartoon featuring the alphabet is one of the reasons why!!!

  • that was rude it had a man & woman snogging under an umbrella

  • Excellent clip with hilarious voices! Thanks for posting!

  • this was neat having all the letters scattered around in the house and them shouting the letters outloud. my father had a set of rubber letters scattered around in the house and he told me he threw the letters away in the trash can.

  • I always wondered why te crash at the end didn't wake the parrot back up..LOL

  • Too cute :)

  • This was my science project in 5th grade...

  • what about the one with letter evolving like the l changing from a heart then an m, etc.

  • Sesame Street Jazzy Alphabet!

  • this the only one

  • I liked this one too,it was very well done. I loved the fast sequence when they did the alphabet again and the guy shouting O and W that was hysterical. Another well done classic clip.

  • I thought it was from the 1970's.

  • Yes! I've been wanting to see this forever now! Thank you so much for posting this, it was one of my favorite alphabet sequences "Sesame Street" ever did---thanks for sharing it!

  • LOL.. I love this cartoon! Oh the memories :)

  • Classic. Now how about the one where poor Kermit made a version that completely backfired on him.

  • I rmember that one; the "What Happens Next Machine." Made me laugh as a kid, and still makes me smile when I think of it.

  • great. Love Gertie the dinosaur in there too.

  • Great memory.

  • hi i'm looking for the animated cartoon short achoo don't let your cold get away from you. does anybody have it to post ?

  • I used to see this one as a kid- it's really very well done- with all the letters of the alphabet- awesome!

  • Beautiful. I wonder who did this. I never saw it before.

  • This was my absolute favorite! Thank you doll!

  • Love this! I remember seeing this as a kid, and when the phone rang (just before 'W'), my grandmother ran to grab her phone! I must've had the TV on pretty loud...

  • One today would feature the guy pulling his RAZR out and answering it.

  • Excellent little cartoon!

  • This comment brought to you tonight by the letters R-O-T-F-L-M-A-O!!!

  • And by the number 5 (as in 5 stars); keep the classics coming, sawing14s!
