Eddie, Eddie, don't hurt em. The smoothest first tenor this side of the Rocky Mountains. If you add Otist second tenor with Eddie then you have the tightest harmony ever. Not to mention Paul, and Melvin to add to the foundation. David Ruffin new how keep in tight in the background when he was not leading the solo. Temptations forever.
@unclemighty1 you know the Temps pretty well back in 67 we had a group and we named our group The Primes right after the temps. We would go to all the shows of groups back in the day.We would steal all there steps changed them around and used them in our shows, what a time that was for us.anyway as far as I know Otis could sing 1st 2nd & 3rd Tenor and sometimes Baritone. Temps fore ever
A very special song, a very special memory., a special night that I'll never forget. The memories come flooding back whenever I hear it. I wonder if he thinks of me when he hears it? Spring 1970......sweet, sweet times.

I used to cry when I hear this osng..it still does me in some funky --way..I love the tune..it reminds me of someone I used to love very very deeply..
With these hands is my favorite love song with Eddie at lead, and the album even today is a classic with leads from all "Temptations In A Mellow Mood"...
@marijoveracruz - I added this to my 1967 playlist. My channel offers you 500 playlists with 8000 songs. 350 by artist and 111 lists for every year since 1900, so you listen like you've stepped back in time!
It's a music archive like you've never heard before!
@chkjns - thank you so much...i searched 'with these hands' by the temptations via imeem before, just got frustrated..., now, my search is over. sure, sure, will find time to check on it.
One of my top favorite songs...so heartwarming..."I'll the turn the tide for you.....no...I'll never let you go.....I will cling to you.........I'm yours forever.......and a day.....". Wonderful words of love.
For Some Reason I don't remember hearing this back in 1967, I'm certainly old enough to remember it and I like the Temptations. This is such a beautiful love song, thanks for the upload.
This was on the back of a more popular Temp song on 45 RPM record in 1967(and on their album). I never heard it on the radio. I used to play this record over and over (more than the popular song on the other side) because I loved this song so much, and the way the magnificent Temps sang it!
Wonderful song, thats why it never dies. great group that lives on,talents like them never die.. I love them! Was a teenager back then when they were a big hit so how can I forget?
Beautiful thought Mam. Isn't it wonderful how God can step in and make everything meaninful and....RIGHT?Hearing the Holy Spirit through this song ..."And I will NEVER let you go!" At my age when this song was released, I had learned that man will let you go-for the next best thing. But God? NEVER
this was the music playing when we were walking down the aisle - june 15 although it was a short lived marriage but the song then was too meaningful for me. glad to hear this again. bring back tears.
perfection at its best. Yesterday, today and tomorrow there's not group out today that can touch the temptations!!!

Like his fellow lead singing group member David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks were the
"voices" of the Tempt's. Eddie's perfomance on this LP was phenominal, when given
the chance Paul Williams was a outstanding lead singer in his own right too! This is
one of the group's finest LP's. Thanks for the music.
