  • Thanks I changed most of mine. Please ask about putting the bulbs in a closed space.. the CFL's are not all made for enclosed globes.

  • nYONE WHO HAS A NEGATIVE COMMENT TO SAY ABOUT THIS MAN OR ANYONE LIKE HIM IS PART OF THE PROBLEM.

  • my u do love the camera dont u

  • oh shit

    another teacher

    didnt u get it yet?

    I DONT WANNA LEARN

  • Dont watch the video then....

PS. You learn when you dont even know it. :P

  • If you don't want to learn, why did you watch? There are how many thousands of things to watch on YouTube, and you pick something you don't like??? You know you're just asking for people to put you down, right?

  • That's true I have those kind of light bulb all over my house and I do save a lot of money.

  • rofl

    /agree

but he does have a good point

  • Why Can't He Stay In One Place

  • Sorry, I didn't realize that boring white guys reading off their computer screen into a fixed web cam made for interesting video.

  • While I agree with people changing their light-bulbs (mine have long been done), I also agree with the disemination of correct infomation -- incandescent bulbs actually only convert approximately 2% of the energy to visible light, not 10% as the professor says.

Probably one of the best thing we could though on a micro-scale (nobody's talking serious politics here) is reduce our beef consumption.

  • I agree with the beef reduction thing. I'm working on that. In addition I have LED bulbs that will replace the mercury containing fluorescents in an up coming vid.

  • Very well done. I am a new fan! My family will be watching. And doing! This week it only took a few bulbs.

  • Casca30AD,

Thanks for your response. Hope you enjoy the videos. There are lots to come.

    Greg

  • The yellow fluorescent bulbs still hurt my eyes. No other light bulbs can compare to the warm glow of incandescent bulbs.

  • Cpiratebee,

I am looking into LED's as a replacement for fluorescents and incandescents. That video should be out soon. Please keep watching.

    Greg

  • I agree with Cpiratebee. Been trying to use fluorescent bulbs in our living spaces for years and just don't like the quality of light they give off(we do use those bulbs in all the utility areas at home). Also, there has not been a suitable substitute for PAR lamps for recessed ceiling lights (see you home has a few too), and they get quite hot. Would be interested to see what is coming down the pike to replace those.

  • Excellent! Great ideas too!

  • I have to say, excellent videos. This may come as common sense to some, but by putting these on youtube your reaching a totally different audience. Might encourage some to you know...think maybe? Great work.

  • Very good video, I like how your doing something good for the world, and good for youtube in my opinion, I look forward to more videos. :)

  • All the lights in my house are the Warm white light florescent light bulbs. I haven't had to change any of them yet... last way longer than the incandescent ones I used to have.

    Thanks Dr.

  • you arrogant sob

  • Someone is trying to do his part to educate - you may not like the tone of his voice, but the point really is the information. You're making a personal judgement on someone you haven't met, so I'll make one on you - either you're really insecure so you couldn't see the point, or your a crank who has nothing better to do than call people names. Nice - by the way, that's sarcasm.

  • Cool vid. You might have wanted to turn the light off on the bulb to replaced to keep from burning and electricuting yourself ;)

  • As I've said before. Its video. When done in the dark its radio.

  • good vid, in short use florescents

  • Dr. Greg, do you have any suggestions for pot lights? These usually use very hot halogen lamps and I noticed you had some where you film your videos.

  • I'm looking into this. This house if full of halogens and I'm trying to change them. LED's are coming. I'm trying to find a source. I will be doing a "One Thing" video on this shortly. Thanks.

  • I really like your videos. Why? Your intentions are just so pure, I really wish there were more people in this world like you, it would make it a better place. A much better place.

  • Thanks. That's what I'm trying to do. Check back or subscribe for more updates next week.

  • where were you when I was in high school?!?! They should feature you on t.v. shows. =) thanks for uploading.

  • Thank you.

  • my brother turned me onto these bulbs. They are so easy to find now. Even grocery stores are carrying them. Thanks again. Such an interesting series.

  • Thanks. Please check back or subscribe. I'm working on another video shortly.

  • great! :) thanks for the tips from all of your videos, it's a good feeling to know that there are still some people with a responsible way of thinking :) unfortunately this doesn't really seem to interest people here on youtube (due to the number of views and subscribers)...

  • Thanks for you comment. I think you must have commented just before this went on the YouTube front page.
