  • @3DGAMEMAN: This PSU can be installed in CM Storm Sniper Case. Thanks and cheers.

  • The perfect PSU that I need. Thanks

  • whats wrong about the chinese compasadors? Mr. chung wong fond

  • I have 30 of these, and I must say that I am pleased with every single one.

  • i got the whole factory...and i`m verry satisfied :)

  • Now how is this wattage determined? Well to understand this, you need to know what rails are.

  • rails are basically well regulated transformers which convert domestic current into the voltages your computer system can use.

  • u think he re-records that for each review ??

  • definitely you've seen the out takes at the end

hes very anal about giving a professional no hype review.

  • True, but that is what makes his reviews so good and consistent. Oh, that and he is a 100% kick-ass android.

  • lols

    he is amazing

  • Yeah O.O Geez. Its pretty damn annoying.

  • That's almost 1.21 kilowatts

  • ahha very funny

  • You could run the IBM Roadrunner with this power supply!

  • No.

  • Yes

  • Maybe?

  • not even 2 gtx 295s need that much fucken energy

  • Well, if you're running dual GTX 295's, i7 965 OC'd, and 9 Velociraptors, you might need something close to this :P

  • thats waaay too much. who the hell would need such monster ??

  • i have a 1200W PSU

  • and what PC ?

  • custom. check my profile out. I might have needed 1200W if i had a crossfire X setup but imma go with nvidia.

  • Multi gpu setup.

  • That thing is massive!

  • OVERCLOCK OVERCLOCK OVERCLOCK!!

  • In Win a verrry nice brand! and the vid. outstanding quality for youtube:D

  • is that the windows 7beta running on your laptop? ;)

  • I have a question Rodney. A few month ago you hellped us whit a web adress to calculate our watt consum. Where you can build a PC and it calculate how many watts you need. What was the web name? I forgot it and can`t finf it. PLS help me/us. Thank you!

  • the asus website has such a tool, but i prefer using the extreme.outervision. psu tool.

google for psu calculator and u should get extreme.outervision.somewhere on the top results

  • nice info

  • great review as always rodney, but you are getting repetitive with these PSU reviews :P

despite what I just said, I want to suggest reviewing BFG Tech's EX-1200 PSU. it's a 1200W PSU that I actually plan to use in my SFF build, because it's quite small :D

  • what kinda of camera do you use for video, do a review on that =D

  • I currently use the Sony HDR-SR11 Camcorder for all videos/video reviews. You may also wish to check out my #104 - Question/Answer: Converting HD Videos For Upload Video for more details.

  • I know for some people it is useful, but I think the constant repetition of the purpose of rails and the various voltages and their appropriate connections but could you not just explain it in the description or put a link?

  • Cool, how big does a 5min video ?

Also, im looking for a software that can image my HDD or folder, any suggestion Rodney?

    Cheers

  • is there any good but cheap mainstream modular PSU's on the market? Corsair has the 620W model, but I was thinking around 700-800W with standard ATX size... have seen some but they are some weird brand that I have never heard of, and there is little information about...

  • How about inter-tech energon eps 750w? (its not expensive)

  • What do you need 700-800W to?

Corsair 620W can handle most SLI/crossfire configurations without a problem. :)

  • running 3 card on corsair 620 w =D

  • Nice. :)

What graphicscard are you using? :)

  • Gtx 260 =D!

  • That can't be very stable.

  • sli you need 680 w recommend

    its very stable

  • its to low for my system, and to low for the most SLI atm, if you want a modern SLI-settings

  • What parts do you have in your computer?

A computer with an overclocked i7 920 @ 3.6GHz and 2 (TWO) GTX295 uses around 610W in load... same CPU with 2 GTX285 i sli, 480W @ Load... so a 620W may be just around the egde for a oveclocked i7 and 2 GTX295 but a 620W PSU of good quality can run almost any "normal" gaming PC including those with SLI and CFx

  • Intel Q9450, 2 Gt 8800XXX

    And a 730 Hiper PSU

But ypu need to think about that the PSU doesnt deliver 100% of it watts, at load, thats why the stamp 80% at load has been invented , that whats i think, am I right?

  • No :P A 1200W power supply can even deliver more power than 1200, you got total amperes x voltage = watt. This will be 1200w on this power supply, but if it has a efficienty of 80%, 80% will mean 1200W will be transferred to your pc components, and 1500W will be consumed. When you go to far over the 1200W a good power supply will shut itself doing preventing damage to your hardware.

  • Name a setup that will tax this. I will eat my hat

  • Nasa supercompter?

  • long power supply is long

It seems pretty good though. Its great to see that it is modular.

  • whats up with that sideways looking monitor in the back?

  • Rodney is a pretty cool guy, eh has sideways screens and doesnt afraid of anything

  • lol what???

  • lol, nothing, Its just an internet meme

  • Some LCDs swivel so they can be oriented vertically. Vertically orientated LCDs come in handy, especially for browsing the web :)

  • Damned. This is the PSU I should have gotten. Went cheap with a Corsair 850. Will fit my needs but I´ll have to watch my upgrades in the future.

  • LOL a 850W PSU is good for almost every SLI/CF computers. ^^

  • esykillll i am of Argentina =)

  • Fucking mexicans.

  • isn't that exaggerated.

  • donate money to my so i will can buy this power supply XD

  • i don´t need the subtitles but that will make the videos more friendly for people in other countries, just like me :D

  • This is exactly the same power supply as the Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W, same pcb same electronics, same cables, just the paint and the brand name changes.

  • Wow, nice quality with SD.

  • Error, no Mexican idiot argentinian

  • It looks like it has a military theme so Rodney won't like it. It would look sweet in a Haf 932. Also a military theme.

  • there will be any possibility to add Spanish subtitles to the videos?

  • Excellent idea, but I'm afraid I won't be putting subtitles in my videos.

  • ok no problem. good luck =)

  • Hello,

I see you are big on power supply reviews. I am wondering if you can do the SIGMA SHARK 635Watt review. This is a mainstream Power supply that rarely gets any recognition, and people do not know much about the brand or power supplies they provide. I checked your videos and you only have one SIGMA PRODUCT power supply which is a 1000 watt.. which i find a little extensive. I surely think people will more likely buy the 635 watt.

  • Nice results from the PSU! 11.97V, 3.21V, 5.00V

  • doing a review for a product ultra high end, i don't get it, less that 1% of the people would be interested in this monster psu...

  • Its more of a review of the series than just the actual product. From this you can assume the quality of the other variants of this particular series of PSUs.

  • A lot of people buy these PSUs even though they don't even need it.

  • I think you should'nt explain rails or other standards on every PSU review since it gets really boring to listen them. Q&A should be enough to explain those.

  • Get better Rodney :)

  • i have this!!

  • he must get tired of explaining rails

  • haha he probably kept an audio recording which he inserted into all PSU reviews

  • @AzNsEnSaT1oN you bet!

  • nice

  • sweet!

  • niiice !

  • great !

  • Nice :)

  • great psu nice video
