Actually, according to an interview, they planned at some point to have two sequels to Loom. The second game would be called "Forge", and the third would be "The Fold". In the end, however, they didn't have enough people with enough interest to develop it. Even the fan sequel never got finished.
My brother never let me play this game though I played it a few times anyhow. I loved the Monkey Island series, beat all of those and we had Night Shift too... Don't see that around anymore.
Actually the talkie version was discouraging cause the dialogue has been altered... compared to the Floppy version. nice words have been changed and cut. too bad.
Ive still got the amiga version of this.

I agree with people here, hearing the characters speak is a crime.

Thanks for this! Loom was one of my all time favourite games. The cd version was particularly precious. ^^

The texts on the CD version were cut and particularly annoying. Also, some zoomed-in scenes were cut!
I guess it's time for a remake.

I had the CD version of this, got it when I bought my first CD drive. It was definitely groundbreaking with the graphics and sound at the time.

Aww, Loom, my all-time favorite LucasArts Adventure - apart from Monkey Island, that is. I love the enhanced voiced version!

I use an Scumm games emulator calle scummvm. I don't know if there is a version for Mac. You also can use a MS-DOS emulator like DosBox
