I think Seattle is an awsome city for its mix of urban and nature. You don't find many, if any, cities of Seattle's size that are as clean as Seattle in such close proximity to nature. There's no garbage in downtown Seattle - it's almost unbelievable. I dare anyone to name a city that doesn't have SOME negative though. Every city is a tradeoff in some way, shape, or form. Just really depends on what you are looking for in life.
still looks like crappy new jersey to me..... no offense... I'm sure you have to be there and live there to really make an assumption on the city.... but these vids do nothing for appeal....... really does look like jersey in some ways.
I would stand in line for an hour to get those doughnuts at Pikes Place !! Actually were trying to figure out how to live there. Enough trips, time to move !
This might be wierd but i love smelling fresh air while just taking a stroll in the park. I can smell all of the evergreen and pine trees and i enjoy hearing the birds chirping :) i don't know if i'm the only one. it's just so relaxing especially on days that are sunny and 70 degrees. Perfection. Like if you agree :)
@WSLAOK3 Im from England, I hope to visit this great nation someday :) Here are my top 5 American Cities, in no particular order. Seattle, Boston, Dallas, San Francisco, Philadelphia :D
Beautiful city!! It shouldn't be called the Rainy City cuz it's not the rainiest city in the nation. Miami, the so-called Sun City rain waaaaaay more than Seattle year-round (more on the summers) and it's always humid as hell, cloudy, worst weather you can get except for a couple days in January and during the aswesome and pleasant cold fronts. I would love to taste Seattle's seemly pleasant weather and the beaitiful scene. And stop calling Seatle the rainy city cuz it's not, do some research!!!
Damn, this is a beautiful city -- and intelligent, too, as people seem to be saying. I think I want to go here for college at the University of Washington. :)
I love Seattle, I was born there. It is such a beautiful city, full of nature and city in one setting. Breathtakingly beautiful for the city-dweller and the hiker. It is simply one of the best cities to visit or live in. At night and during the day, beautiful!
As someone who does live in Seattle, let me just say... It's not that great. Unless you like hordes of bums, and tents and sleeping-bags allover the street and parks.
Fuck off. We don't like Ignorance either. Fukin Cracker. Next time keep ur bullshit bias inside ur ignorant head instead of spewing it on the net in the comfort of your home.
Seattle deserves a social earth quake if there is a such thing I've never seen such disconnected cold group of people in my life...from law enforcement to "more then other agenices of other states n towns for the worest" to government and every day.. lots of steep hills and downtown is narrow and north to south confusing to get around
Seattle is one the most educated cities in the US. I believe it's in the top 3. This is not an opinion. It's a Fact published in many magazines and trade journals.
Yea I suppose, to ignorant fucks like you, we would seem disconnected.
Learn how to write sentences first before running your mouth, especially if you're going to use quotations.
yes, Seattle usually runs in the top 3 most educated cities in America currently this year it is ranked number 1. Seattle is for the win, i love living here. :]
@rish1rish I totally agree with you. Seattleites are some of the smartest. I heard/read somewhere the other day and believe that I might have read that seattle is #1 as far as education goes.
Sound actually pretty good. Plus, other more famous places to live like NYC, Miami, and most of the East Coast receives more inches per year than Seattle.
In Seattle it might rain a lot of days. But in Miami it rains and it feels like the sky is falling down. And it happens quite a lot during the summer, which I'm told is a beautiful time to be in Seattle.
PS: obviously I'm not trying to convince you to change your opinion about Seattle because you have lived there and I haven't :D I'm just trying to say, when you really get to know other cities you really appreciate the good things of your city. Seattle enjoys mild summers and winters, one of the highest standards of living in the country (and the world for that matter), and relatively low crime rates. So it might not be perfect, but it's not like you should hate it :p
lol I guess that's the case. You see, I live in Miami... everyone wants to live here in Miami (you should see the influx of New Yorkers, Pennsylvanians, and Canadians we have), but I can't wait to get the crap outta here. Seriously, pronto!
ive been to miami and you are right the rain there is TERRIBLE.... mostly because its humid disgusting rain. In Seattle it rains hard but its not gross humid rain. I know a lot of old people love miami and want to retire there, but I think Seattle is more popular with young professionals.
I have a second home in Ft. Lauderdale and yes, I agree, So-Flo is amaaaaazing, the views, the palm trees, the beaches, but the heat in summertime is just tooooo much.
I'm a native of India.. and even for me, the heat gets unbearable at times. Miami is great place to hang out for 2-3 months, but Seattle is awesome if u want balance.
Winters are not as cold as Eastcoast, and summers are nice an mild. U can actually out and do stuff in summers instead of crashing all day inside in front AC.
@ORUPRANKSTAZ I think your attempt at being culturally accepting backfired. Kudo2 merely said that he did not like it because it's indian music, that's a valid thing to say. You're the one who applied other prejudice to your generalization.
im gonna live there after i finish college
