The introduction is dark and sentimental...after that it sounds absolutely alien to the introducing theme. I could do with just the first two minutes of this, or perhaps see that original theme expanded.

Is it just me or do these pictures misrepresent the relaxing and emotionally fullfilling quality of these songs? Sure the pictures are romantic like the songs but I mean come on... the goth represented in these pictures is way too stereotypical and cliche. Some of them are impressive but most are ridiculous. Is it just me?

@buddybuk I agree with you. Really, I'm getting extremely tired of how many videos on youtube for gothic songs have all these images of girls crying. The massive amount of these images only furthers the misinterpretation of the gothic aesthetic itself. 'Tis how I feel, anyway. It makes it seem far too... I don't know. But doesn't fit well into the idea of taking the dark, dreary, melancholy, subversive, and such things into something of beauty. Instead focusing way too much on the cliche ideals.

There is a difference between Goth from Gothic. Gothic is an adjective which was used for literature.

''Neoclassical-Darkwave'' is a sub-genre of Goth. On the other hand,the aesthetics of Goth Rock from the 80's was dark, beautiful, exceptional, and sensual. However, the stereotypic Goth term of nowadays is a joke. Even though these pictures have nothing to do with Goth Rock, there is nothing negative toward them. To me these pictures fit the song quite well.

@JustinOsbo I wasn't really meaning there was anything negative toward them. I'm just tired of seeing everyone putting these same basic images onto anything that is goth (more or less) when there is so much other art out there that is just as fitting, if not more so. I think a few of the images in the video do fit, but others of them are just too much for the emotion of the song. Just my opinion.

Gothic is used for more than just literature now though. More in metal than rock, but still.
