Nice! The original trailer didn't reveal much, but since by now everybody knows what this is about this is a nice update. The ending of this movie falls short of satisfaction IMO - the dog only evokes sympathy for so long that by the end, it's almost a shame the audience didn't see him suffer the same brutal fate as his victims. Normally I would NEVER wish ill of a pet pooch - except here
Totally forgot about cujo until I heard a dog called it. Thought it was really good when I was 7, now it looks shit lol! Fond memories are better left in the head, reality is on YouTube.
Personally i think that Dreamcatcher is the best Stephen King movie but then again it was the second Stephen King movie that i saw after Pet Semetary any movie would've been the best movie i've ever seen.
Love how you've spliced scenes together to look like a continous scene, like Cujo running out of the barn after killing Bannerman, then leaping at the Pinto. Good choice of new atmospheric music too.
"Cujo" is a great flick, one of the best adaptations of Stephen King's novels. But,...when the dogs attack Gregory Peck in the "Omen" ? Oh man. That is as intense and scary as it gets.
Cujo is like a mixture of Sharkon the Tiger and Gmork the Wolf all rolled into one. Does anyboyd remember Gmork from The Neverending Story? Boy, was he bad!
If you buy the DVD you'll see behind the scenes clips that will make you laugh. The dog was having a lot of fun, chasing and barking. The had trouble trying to keep the dog from wildly swinging its tail (dogs do this when they are really happy). In "Dances With Wolves" they used a Buffalo that raced wildly to its trainer for an Oreo cookie. The shot looked awesome, but in actuality was harmless.
I'd say that Cujo is more terrifying in that large dogs HAVE attacked and killed people in recent years across the country. The most horrifying example is the fatal attack in an apartment complex that took place in San Francisco a few years back. Mastiff, is what those two killer dogs were I believe. And they literally tore that young woman to pieces. There have been scores of attacks involving Pitbullsl.
The dog isn't evil in this movie, if you watch it you'll find that the dog gets rabies from a bat bite at the beginning of the film. It's not a monster, it's just sick.
im just a high school student but the books i have read do tend to have movie for them as well and i enjoy the books more in the long run. movies are visual so you dont have to picture it or use your own imagination but books let mind go all kinds of places allowing your imagination to take over, which in this type of genre is very good because it makes the fear more of your own and much deeper and haunting because after all who can imagine your worst possible fear better than you can?am i right
I always hear people say 'the book is better than the movies' well im hear to say the movies are better than the books. I mean tell the truth people are you saying the book is better than the movies just too seem smart? Hear is my point of view on the books, their just paper pages so it must be verry thrilling am i right? But then again i have never read a genre of this kind so correct me if i'm wrong. Isn't that a bit cheesy?
@bobsagotjr lol you don't sound like you've had to much experience reading books, the reason reading it can be better is that in your head everything is real just like a movie, however you can also understand the skill the author had in the making of the book. In the movie you lose the true meaning sometimes, like in Cujo
Listen to me: THE BOOK IS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The book is much more thrilling, scary, and over all the most enjoyable. I'm right in the middle of reading the book and I am scared to death. I know that most books that try to be scary aren't that scary, but the Stephen King books are. Besides, the book came first so that is the correct way that it's supposed to happen and it takes longer to read a book than to watch a movie so raeding the book means more time to enjoy it.
Man in This dog would've been killed right at the start if it tried to take on a Tongan! No gun or knife just a stick to ram it right through it's throat.
@GlameowFails You mean your poodle-puss, Heinz 57-feral garbage eater? By the time your pound-puppy reject turns around to sniff her own ass, My G.S. would be dismembering that ghetto-mutt, paint your back yard with its blood, and bury her bones to gnaw on next year. Then he'd have his way with your leg and kick your ass to the curb like I did your girlfriend last night.
FYI: Stephen King felt that "CUJO" was one of the best adapations of his work. In fact, he stated that one of his great disappointments was that Dee Wallace didn't get an Oscar nod. Read...Entertainment Weekly. He writes a column for them.
I hate how the movie&book say hes a posessed by a 'supernatural power'. i know that dog is pretty badass but they dont have to make it seem like hes the hound if hell. its just rabis
OMG you rude people if she dident kill the dog then he would have killd her son!!! IF any dog like that got near my child id shoot too!!! I own 2 saitbornards and they are BIG dogs and with rabis could kill a child in 2 secends!u guys are rude for saying she should have died and let the dog eat her!!
Exactly, and a dog irl wouldn't last very long when having rabies, so it would've died sooner or later, so stop hatin' or i'll let a rabid dog loose on yew. ^^
yah, and in the book, she NEVER uses a gun, NEVER goes in te house, and Cujo pretty much surrounds the car 24/7 allowing no chance to esacpe. poor Tad.
i just finished the book not so long ago and some bits scared the crap outta me! but then i couldnt help to feel sorry for cujo :( i havent seen the movie yet but by the looks of this trailler they changed it around!
I saw the movie when it came out, and it scared the crap out of me, of course I was only 9 when I saw it, but I however cried for Cujo, When I saw the Movie later on in my adult hood, I found it disturbing somewhat, but still felt myself feeling bad for Cujo.
I've enjoyed and been terrified my this film for years, certain scenes still scare the crap out of me, I'm 28 yo now and I'm not afraid to admit that.
Why do they change things when they decide to make it into a movie...they never went into the house and she never shot Cujo. She beat him with a bat outside the house...
yea same here. i hate that fact. i think it is so much better like when she has to beat him with that base ball bat... i think the best way ist to watch the movie and then you can read the book
Nice! The original trailer didn't reveal much, but since by now everybody knows what this is about this is a nice update.
