This music is mellow (for metal) but nice to relax to. Not everything you listen to needs to pump you up and make you want to kill people. I like a wide variety of metal, myself, but after a while "I HATE HUMANS, MUST KILL EVERYTHING, BLOOD EVERYWHERE" kind of music gets boring. I still love extreme metal, but as you get older the flames of hate die out. You'll realize, when you're older, that hating is all you ever did, and it never got you anywhere. Or it ruined you, like it did me.

This band = melodeath (I think). Melodeath came from death, which came from thrash which came from NWOBH and punk and the former came from heavy metal. So yes it is a form of heavy metal.
