I prefer the sound of the GBA version's music, but it sure sounds terrible on an emulator. I actually prefer the SNES music when watching videos on youtube...and GBA on my actual system.
I'd call him a GBA-Extra, not a real final boss. Especially since he has no incidence in the plot. He might be one of the toughest, though. I don't know, I'm still hunting for all the Espers in the world of Ruins, and building up magic in the Veldt.
@Demonhornz Not by the sense it has. In Final Fantasy 7, Emerald and Ruby weapons are both incredibly hard secondary bosses you can fight to obtain secret materias. They are so tough in fact that they are even harder to defeat than the three phases of Sephiroth. They're not Final Bosses , since they don't END the story after their defeat.
There's a difference between "strongest" and "final".
@XPator You completely missed the meaning of 'final'. Also, I haven't played FF7.
What I meant was final as in the final fightable boss programmed into the game. He comes after Kaiser Dragon, therefore you already probably beat Kefka and are coming back for round 2 in the Dragon's Den. Thus, he is the final boss. Plus, this boss isn't the strongest by any means.
@Demonhornz sorry bro, but there is no kaiser dragon in any of the final fantasy games. this is omega weapon and the other was ultima. in ff7 there was ultima, ruby , and emerald as fightables. omega was a vagina in seven. as for the name kaiser dragon, that is in breath of fire, not final fantasy.
How did you get so many X-Ethers!? Those are the rarest of the consumable items I think. I have gotten 61 X-Potions and 65 Elixirs, but only like 3 X-Ethers in my playthrough. And that many Megalixirs???
I don't understand. I consider myself an expert of FFVI and I have never heard of such a thing. Is this one of the new features in the GBA version? If so, I consider myself a "pure-blood" and I only play the snes versions.
Yes, the GBA has several superior features over the SNES, and keep in mind i've played the SNES beginning to end. The GBA version has four new espers that must be fought as bosses to gain them, has the Dragon Dungeon after you beat the game (hardest challenge in the whole game, is also VERY puzzling), and also includes the Soul Shrine, a place where you fight 100 battles vs random enemies and every boss excluding Kefka but including the Kaiser Dragon.
You don't know what you are missing out on. No longer do you need to make a tough decision between the sword and Esper when you get. You can steal unlimited Ragnarook Swords and actually use them in the Dragon's Den and Soul Shrine after you beat the game. So many new things in the GBA... I will never go back to the SNES version now. You should check it out.
Why Omega doesn't look like Omega, for me it's just a Silver Ultima weapon lolz :D
