Thats very sad that your good friends are now relatively gone, but you make css seem boring and its not. You said the game died down a bit, but thats not entirely true... Just saying

@sonicshadowxxxxx It's boring for me, personally, because my friends are gone. I've always enjoyed playing competitively, but PUGs just don't quite make it! I feel that, especially in the community (e.g. mapping, professional play etc.) there's less enthusiasm for the game, however that has fortunately not significantly affected the player numbers (which still remain very, very, high). It is probably me though, since I've moved to StarCraft II for my competitive fix now. :-)

Counter Strike needs a proper reboot. CS1.6 and CSS are the closest thing to a game of skill out there - you don't need perks and killstreaks to make a good game. A lot of devs seem to have forgotten this and copied CoD in the hopes of replicating their success :/

I want a new CS on a new engine, with integrated clan tools and a more interesting UI, but with the exact same twitch shooting mechanics and recoil. I'd buy that shit in an instant.

@gman318 uh ... source already has a clan tool dude, and dude, honestly, a lot of gamers left counter strike games for other stuff ( not only cod or bc2) but for other fps that have came out for the reason that this game is fucking repetitive, the only objective you could ever have is to play with ur clan and reach amateur and proffesional leagues, apart from that this game is getting bored and pointless, it's the same every fucking time, it's "weapon and killing" "planting defusing" - BOOORING

@blinkin5 That's your opinion dude. I still don't know of another game out there fps wise that puts the player on the exact same level as everyone else - no classes/no unlocks.

And yeah I agree it can get pretty repetitive, which is why I was after a re-boot...
