Personally...I can't watch any other Ozzy...when Randy isn't in...I'm going to get so many bad ratings...but really...it's all vain without Randy...just speaking my mind...the song lost it's magic here...even with the added keyboards...just lost it's magic...Ozzy and Randy are forever...no other Ozzy for me(except Sabbath),
Oh I love Jake, his playing's great, what meant more was when other people play Randy's stuff, with Ozzy...it's just kinda...Randy's tone was the foundation to those songs...they just...brought out a good voice to the music, which Ozzy did a bad job(for those who'll get mad at that last part...admit it, Ozzy's not great for his voice, but all his guitarists from Tony to Zakk)
The ONLY flaw in that statement is this is from Rock In Rio, which is not a good barometer for measuring a fan base. These events were multi-day, multi-act festivals that drew so many people due to the many differnt acts that played. One act over another didn't necessarily pull in those numbers alone. BUT -- I agree, the crowds were HUGE and the events were fabulous. But don't get overwhelmed by the huge crowd, it wasn't JUST Ozzy, or Maiden, or Queen for those Rock In Rio shows.
I had 19 and was there 20 meters from the stage. Crazy concert. Ozzy was still discovering how to live after black sabbath and Randy Roads death. Simply impossible to forget.
