Looking at one of these instances mentioned here 2 Samuel 24:13 - 1 Chronicles 21:11-12. The older known manuscripts are not contridicted. Read NIV Bible it says 3 and 3. There is no contridiction. In the KJV Bible it says 7 and 3. The manuscript used for translations was not as old. The same story is still told and the same decision has to be made By David. In both texts mentioned it is the same punisment recieved and the same prophet. Good try though.
