@larsbo999 I want to get in on this,European bands wouldnt be where they are without bands like slayer, morbid angel, cannibal corpse and whoever else BUT they took what they learned and made it better in many ways like incorporating historical elements like viiking metal or folk metal.even black metal takes it to a good new level of intellegence.my favorite bands are megadeth and motorhead, but just soomething european music does is soo much better in my book.

I KNOW that there's bands like Sabbath, Maiden, Venom and Bathory that has influenced a LOT of european bands - and I'm not trying to rule that out. I'm merely pointing out that I don't know what european metal would sound like today - were it not for american metal :)
