Jen was by far the best choice, but compared to season 1 candidates, maybe not. Season 1 was filled with many people who would do great at running a company and Season 2, though had a lot of intelligent people, lacked the creativity the original cast possessed.
Trump was terrible how he made Jen think that she was the winner, just before he said she's fired. Nevertheless, Trump made the right call hiring Kelly, because he's more solid, consistent and decisive and he was born with exceptional leadership instincts that Jen lacks, she at times leeches on the sucess of others, she is very beautiful and intelligent though, but is very manipulative and is not respected very well.

He flew under the radar, talked behind Jen's back, didn't do anything to motivate Raj and John. I don't care about the times he won as PM because he certainly didn't deliver in the end; the last task is the most important one of all and he failed in it in every respect; there is nothing more annoying than dumb man's luck. Why people like him so much is beyond me.
It was Kelly all the way, it never should have been this close. Kelly hit home runs since the show started and Jen didn't do anything until the very end, For the record Evana had great legs.
I'm so glad Kelly won. I don't care about all the bullcrap degrees and colleges Jen boasts about. She's got no class. She's argumentative, confrontational, cuts people off, she's inconsiderate, fake, etc, etc. Maybe good for an attorney, but most certainly not good for The Donald's apprentice. GO KELLY!!!
trump made the right decision, but really for the wrong reasons. i'm shocked how poorly he assessed the players through the entire season. he fired a lot of the stronger candidates earlier than he should have, firing people for minute flaws, esp those that occurred in the board room that didn't necessarily represent their performance and character as a whole. his lack of insight left him with 2 weak candidates at the end that both should have been fired.
Sure, Kelly can follow orders and give them, but for sure Jen would have grown into the role better as a skilled, poised negotiator. Do you want a Yes Man? Apparently you do. I wouldn't have hired Kelly though. He IS wooden, and has little imagination. True, he did have a better record winning. They just have different leadership styles. Men would obviously choose another man that fits a mould. I don't think any of the 16 candidates were stellar in Season 2.

And she stood up for Stacie J when Ivana claimed she was hiding in the corner and little Stacy claimed it was the scariest moment of her life. this might be an unpopular - but I'm not a fan of how the usa show deals with the finale - the uk show is much more classy and credible, this all seems like too much of a ratings grabbing cash cow, its waaaaaay too drawn out.
After how well Jen defended herself in the boardroom and handled all that pressure, I think Trump made a mistake in firing her. Jen had the credentials, integrity, and the passion. I'm sure she's still among the more successful Apprentice contestants, and she built up a lot of goodwill after the horrendous finale.
Season 1 players and winner are way more brilliant than in this season. I don't think the resources put on this quest match up the result they achieved.

I agree: I would have liked to have seen Pam & Kelly in the final 2! I would have Jen as my lawyer in a heartbeat but for business matters would prefer Pam or Kelly; both are straightforward, risk takers & Kelly had an unbeatable track record as PM. The riskiest thing Jen did on the show (not to be smart; am a dog owner) is clip strangers' dogs' toenails.
The only trouble with Pam is that she tended to be a bit too stubborn as PM & talked more than she listened - an affliction also suffered by others, notably Jen C & Stacy R. I think she must have skipped the lecture during her Wharton marketing class regarding pricing products (re: QVC task). I do give Pam MUCH credit for being the catalyst in whipping the losing team of mostly backstabbers into shape.
I agree Jen was not a very likable person, but she always showed respect and professionalism with the team. I think she has the leadership, passion and fire it takes to be hired by Mr. Thiumph. Kelly seems like a very likable diplomatic guy with a nice background but lacks the Fire, Power, Drive ...
