This fellow's really good. Obviously intelligent and he delivers very well. BUT, talking about going back to $40 barrels and trusting people to think smart without twisting arm.
i am sitting here in shock. i know it sounds silly but i didnt know there was someone so intelligent in the american government. this man should without a doubt be vice president.
um. i think he would make for a great sec. of energy for obama. he's got a pretty good knowledge of the region in terms of agronomy and energy, but foreign policy. no. i'd never vote for these ideas. you don't just withdraw and let a civil war follow its course. you have to be as careful getting out as you were getting in. but i do believe he's got a pretty good perspective on the energy sector and i've been opposed to coal but i think he can sell it pretty good. so sec of energy for Obama.
Unfortunately, as soon as we leave (no matter when we leave), the country is going to devolve even further into civil war. We broke it, and apparently didn't think about how we were planning on fixing it. It sucks, I feel awful for the Iraqi civilians who are just trying to live their lives, but there's nothing our military can do there now but continue to burn up billions and billions of dollars and slowly lose good men in a fight that isn't going to do anything but delay the inevitable.
now I don't know much about this guy, he could be a snake oil salesmen - or in this case, coal - but judging from what I've read and watched, he is extremely charismatic. His honesty on foreign policy and its connection to the oil crisis is admirable. I like his refusal to take PAC money and anti war stance. I like his take on bi-partisanship and integrity. Typically, living in Saudi Arabia isn't an attractive quality, but it seems to have given him a strong understanding of the region.

Once again, as a Veteran and a resident of Montana, I am embarrased to have this man represent my state. He is a talking head who has no ideas of his own. What a bitc*.
Brilliant man.
