That is Awesome...Good to know you have to write backward...so I am going to print my grandbabies on some and print them out on the computer and make charms for the scrap books. I'll flip the pictures in my art program so they turn out correctly...:o) hehe
Took our Hobby Lobby 2 hours to find the film for us, we walked the entire store. When we described it to them they looked like we were describing space age technologies.
you are an awesome mom. the idea that you are excited about shrinky dinks with your daughter is adorable and the idea of giving them to grandparents is thoughtful.
Your daughter is super cute...I bought this product a while ago and had forgotten about it...now I know what my daughter and I will be doing this weekend!!!! Thanks for sharing,
Our family had a great time with shrinky dinks this past summer too. My husband was even into it. He used my CM circle and square punches and my Fiskars end punches and ruined them for cutting paper. So, I just had to buy more punches. :)
Good job Sarah! You're such a cuttie pie! My daughter is19 and I so enjoy crafting with her and she with me. We just love your mom's stuff and I see you're following in her foot steps. What did you color the shrinky dinks with?
Fun project! Great job Sarah. I bet Trevor is next-lol! I'm sure someone else pointed this out, but you can use your coropadile to punch a hole once they've shrunk if you forget to punch a hole first. JIL
thank you Sarah . your .learning from the best....I can see where this is going ...nice part-time job when your a teenager ....I can see she is a natural
Can you get the shrinky dink film at Michaels? I asked for it a few weeks ago and they were clueless about it. Can you tell me what part of the store it would be in? Your duaghter is a cutie and so much excitment :) I know you love crafting with her :)
Awsome job Sarah!!! This the perfect idea...I was having trouble finding the right charms for one of my nephews album and ya just unblocked the wall I had run into...Thank you!
Sarah...you are an awesome instructor! I learned so much about Shrinky Dinks and how to make them. I think I'm going to try to make some this weekend. Thanks so much for explaining the whole process. Can't wait to have fun!
What a great teacher Sarah is. She did a great job. I see her following in her moms footsteps. Love all of here charms that she showed. thank you Sarah for showing us how to use the shrinky dink material.!
Cut scraps into strips, color the strips and weave them like a placemats. The strips shrink and fuse togehter. You can also weave wire or any other scrap of "stuff" you have. Hot glue on a brooch pin. I entered some of these in an artfair for my afterschool kids and the judges loved them. Great way to use scraps. Great job Sarah!!
Have you ever used your heat tool? I stick a stylus into the hole I punch in the material and then heat it up with the heat tool. I've had a problem with ink smearing. What do you use to color your shrinky dinks? Thanks for sharing! ~Dera
@DeraLynnD The heat tool works great too. The oven is easier for the volume the kids make! and a bit easier to control the safety issues. We use "regular" colored pencils and markers...in other words, the inexpensive ones!
So adorable! Sarah, I love your hand drawn art! I love original art by kids! That makes the best kid signature to any project! Sarah, you are adorable! Thanks for sharing your fun project with all of us!
I love Shrinky Dinks and Sarah you did an awesome job on the video.........I like to use Staz-on with stamps and colored pencils to color them in too...........Peace out!

If you use a different shape of hole punch, will it shrink to the same shape or will it go to a circle?
ShiningMist 1 year ago
@ShiningMist It will always stay the same shape, just LOTS smaller!
FollowThePaperTrail 1 year ago
@FollowThePaperTrail ... O: !! Do want! I like the kind that you can print through a printer though, and cut out the shapes.
Zikthearcticfox 1 week ago
@ShiningMist it will be the shape you hole punched

@1966Allyson Hi, I find the shrinky dink stuff at Joann's and Hobby Lobby, about the same price either place. It is often with the childrens crafts.
