  • nice tutorial, but cut or FFW the videos :)

  • Watched this tutorial 3 times now. very inspiring and the lego's is a way better way than what the Smooth -oh site suggest themselves.

How many molds (like the one in the video) can you make with one kit/set?

And is your way of pouring from below using the spue's really necessary?

    cheers.

  • for creating your own models, would sculpty be okay for that sort of thing?

  • @Skaldi3

sculpey 3 or super sclupey would work. but it would be best if you used greenstuff , or milliput or something like that for better detail.

  • could you give me a link where i could buy the resin cast kit??? if it´s possible in german!!! ;-)

  • @legoprime2000 resin is einfach nur kunstharz, das solltest du in jedem besseren bastelladen bekommen :)

  • very good video, thank you

  • wait why were you cutting it?

  • awesome thank you !

  • hi you have a good idea but can you help me ?? i have to meke my singol copy of a complex miniature that is in a single block its like the new space hulk terminator (not the samei cant copy that i know) but its very similar ,the difficult its how to make the 2 part of rubber to make the copy

  • watch the entire video series. you have to bury the mold up to the midpoint in something else then pour the mould stuff over top and then flip it over n do it again

  • Lego bricks

    Excellent idea!

  • its like a kid opening a christmas prezzy

  • The resin is used in Step 7.

In this step we are making the second half of the two-part mold. The first half is made using plasticine on one side, and the second half with the hardened Silicone Mold Rubber.

If you just filled the box completely with rubber, your model would be stuck on the inside!

  • unless u cut it out!

  • @matty0l214 exactly, i cant see a problem with that

  • @XanderXereus really helpful videos cheers. just one question. if you just poured completely round your miniture so that you are left with a model inside a solid mould, could you then just carefully cut the mould in half around the model so that you then have two halves?? im probs missing something but i cant see a problem with that. maybe put su random verticle bits off sprue in so you can line the halves up afterwards but thats it

  • sorry this might sound dumb but why did you pour the resin in twice?
