Every "supernatural event" we have litterature on is described in cluttered and mixed non-understandable carvings and misinterpreted cluttered text. There is no detailed explanations of any gods, absolutely nothing and we havent seen any yet. This explains why we dont see any of that in our world today, its because it doesnt exist, and it will not begin to exist just because it is an intriguing thought. These things are ancient fabrications not in sync with science or reality.

I don't think all intelligent life is the result of evolution, though. I think some beings did evolve naturally, to a high level. Then they went out and started "playing god", so to speak, and created more life. We quite possibly could be the result of such tinkering. For a long time a had trouble believing many of the things in the bible. I had struggles within myself to make sense of it all. Angels, Demons etc. until I started to do a little research on my own i saw that alot of the things I was looking for I already knew. This concept made it alot easier for me to believe in a higher power.

One must also understand that the scriptures are simply a re-telling of much older tales, with much changed, omitted and miss-translated along the way. The main change was turning many gods (polytheism) into 1 (monotheism). I wouldn't quite an advanced race a "higher power" though, and if there is a "god", to me it would be the universe itself as a conscious, living, thinking entity. I don't it created us, but the molecules that make up everything, then evolution took it from there...
