  • This just proves that Tails didn't win shit. Sonic was just tossing the dog a bone. He could keep up with a cheating Tails.

"Bitch please, I wanted to win, I would."

  • YA MADE IT

  • This is the Ultimate power!

  • Sonic WTF CHEAT

  • That's one hell of a shortcut! O_O

  • thats just.....wow.

  • at the end:

Sonic (exhausted): "dang Tails, I couldn't even keep up, even with my GameShark!"

Tails: "In you f**king face, bitch!"

  • LOLOL!

  • I got 27 secs in the XBLA version. did they add more death boxes because I can't stop dieing in midair.

  • Sonic is THE FASTEST THING ALIVE~

  • ...but only because Tails snapped his neck as a result of that crash landing into the capsule. They had to bring in a stunt double to pose for the ending screen.

  • @SadisticMystic This is..Excellence in flight Prower air...

  • @Ronkaknight no he's not. he's the fastest hedgehog. knuckles tails eggman and metal sonic are faster than him

  • You know when you stretch a rubber band and it pulls harder the longer you stretch it?

  • Well, would you look at that, he IS the fastest thing alive!

  • wow. The Computer is a cheating bastard.

  • Well, I guess it's only fair. I mean, technically speaking, YOU cheated, as well. XD

  • @TechnologyWitch Tails: Hey I'm just tryna stick to the skies ma du.

  • @TechnologyWitch This just proves that even if you didn't cheat Sonic would STILL be a cheating bastard

  • Uh.......His name ain't sonic for nothing xD

  • Uh oh, we're not gonna make it! Let's speed up!

  • Try new super insane mode: Where sonic does that even when doing the level normally...

  • Now I know Sonic can move @ super sonic speed(His name is Sonic after all) but damn that just insane and unfair on level not even known possible

  • Just goes to show that cheaters never win!

  • I thought Sonic got the power of Chaos Control in Sonic Adventure 2.. not in the FIRST Adventure!

  • But it's not chaos control, it's just chaos chaos.

  • @SadisticMystic I think this is actually called "Chaos go fuck yourself, you ain't winning that easily". >_>

  • @GOLDsonic105 Or could Sonic peaked into the future in Sonic CD and learned how to do the Sonic Boost from Sonic Rush and Unleashed?

  • TVtropes linked me here and I agree with MGIBlaze

  • Same here.

  • But not too fast.

  • The Computer Is A Cheating Bastard.

  • @MGlBlaze Well said, fellow troper.

  • @darkangelsv1 Thank you! Well, there's a reason I (and a lot of others) found this video through that article page, after all. I'm surprised I have 27 thumbs-up for just reciting the trope title, though.

  • @MGlBlaze indeed

  • I'm curious: if you waited a bit, or did the course backwards starting from the end, would you see sonic's actions?

  • chaos control much sonic?

  • Really makes you wanna see how Sonic actually moves through the level like that.

  • Holy shit, Sonic can teleport.

  • i dont get it could you explain it

  • SOMEONE'S been abusing debug mode...

  • And that's why Sonic learned how to run much faster in later games.

  • I like how sonic just sped through the course like there was nothing there from time to time

  • The Computer Is A Cheating Bastard.

  • ^ THIS.

  • *Points at Sonic* HAAAAAAAAAAAX! *Fires a monitor at him*

  • (casts Slowja on Sonic so the monitor hits Sonic)

  • Good game ^^

  • Notice how both Sonic and Tails cheat the crap out of this stage :p Tails flies down the whole thing and Sonic freaking TELEPORTS!

  • PUFFY SONIC CHARACTERS RULEZ

  • LOL, Sonic had hax.

  • @XGluon No, my friend. Sonic IS hax!

  • @XGluon I'll use your- CHAOS CONTROL?!?!?!!?!

  • Perfect example of the computer being a cheating bastard. There is no way Sonic could have moved that fast.

  • Sure there is. It's just that there are kill planes in the way of where he would have to go.

  • @SadisticMystic He does have the power to slow time to a crawl in the sequel though... still, rubberband AI much?

  • I don't think you understand.

    He's the fastest thing alive.

  • No, Eggman is. He can outrun Super Sonic, and even debug mode.

    Debug + Sonic 2 = TRUTH REVEALED

  • No... The Computer Is A Cheating Bastard!

  • TVTropes FTW!

Also, this may be some of the most blatant cheating I've EVER seen.

  • @wanderlustwarrior this literally is on that page

  • that's where I got here. It was the link

  • holy shct! (no typo)

  • 19 secounds.....

  • Lmao, hilarious. XD i always did the same trick in this stage.

  • Holy shoot, that was great.

  • Awesome! XD

  • Considering that this is basically the whole purpose of the SA Tails levels, you don't sound very convincing.

  • I think he's said that becouse you started with 99 lifes lol

  • The thing about SA is that the life total can actually go up to 127, rather than 99. I ran through one set of 128 lives, then got this run on the second set before falling below 99.

  • I didn't know that, and how got so many lives?

  • On Dreamcast, you can stand on the edge of the hotel switch and just nip the closest ring that spawns, scoring 2 effortless rings per second until you have as many rings as you want. On GameCube that doesn't work (because the switch is further away), unless...you have a lightning shield. Only Tails and Knuckles are capable of generating lightning shields in the adventure field.

  • ohh thanks for the info.

  • How exactly do you come across lightning shields in the adventure field?

  • With Knuckles, just keep digging any place you can dig.

With Tails, there are certain plants you can destroy with a tail spin, and sometimes they leave items behind. These are in limited supply, though, so if you exhaust that supply you'll have to change area then come back to make them respawn.

  • Ah, I see. It's been a while since I've play SADX, I guess I forgot.

  • What the?? How the heck did Sonic keep up????

  • Reminds me of Mario Kart 64 cpus.

  • You sure are good with these blind runs, huh? I never knew that Sonic would completely cheat just to stay a maximum distance behind Tails! Now I know, thanks to you. Again.

  • What the fucking fuck?!?!

  • Hey, that's a remix of the first level of Sonic 3D Blast for the Sega Genesis!

  • SM, Thanks for you doing the video Windy Valley! It was a perfect speed run!

    Cort_pso

  • awesome!

  • nice. beats my gcn record by about 7-8 seconds i think.

  • Ha ha, the game blatantly cheats, unless Sonic falls through the sky too...

  • ...Wow.

  • Very nice.

  • Ah, I remember doing this years ago, I think my record was 40-something seconds.

    Good times, good times :D

  • Is this the WR?

  • Discounting times that take advantage of non-standard controllers capable of generating faster lateral speeds than a standard Dreamcast controller ever can, yes it is.

  • how do these magical controllers work? o.O

  • They emit a larger voltage on the analog signal than official DC controllers are specced to do, but still a voltage that's in spec for the system's ADC, so you get the equivalent of something like 150% of full tilt in a direction on an official controller.

  • It's a disc that's been scratched to hell; even running it through a CD scratch remover several times hadn't helped. No idea why it worked this time, but the important part is that it did.

  • Ah, good old SA1. I still play that to this day, given my Dreamcast will let me. Over the years it's become prone to resetting randomly; no idea why. Was it the disc itself or the Dreamcast that refused to boot?

  • o yay sa1! never played that
