Except that Thanos hasn't used the Infinity Gauntlet in the comics for nearly twenty years now; and hasn't needed it to be a major powerhouse in his own right. At the onset of "Thanos Imperative" he with out any weapons (or cloths for that matter) and at only a fraction of his power in a rage wiped out 2 billion people on a planet of powered up worshippers in only a few hours.

I notice you do mention he was using the Powergem when he beat Champion, but neglect to mention he was using the Infinity Gauntlet when he blasted Galactus and defeated Eternity and was confronted by the higher cosmic beings. With out it he is hardly on their level, granted he is still pretty damn close to it, but its still a fact that with out the Infinity Gauntlet he wouldn't stand a chance against the likes of Eternity, The One Above All (Celestial), and the others.
he didnt have the power gem when he blasted galactus . the whole arc of him and galactus fighting or thanos blasting him was about galactus haveing gathered the gems so he could wish his hunger away but thanos whole attack was because he wanted to stop galactus because galactus had gathered all the gems . @TheRhuen Thanos actually doesn't have the infinity gauntlet when he blasts Galactus away, or the power gem when he fought Champion..Champion had the gem. Thanos was trying to help Galactus realize that he was about to release the 'Hunger' from a different plane and Galactus thought he was lying so Thanos tried to enter his mind to show him he wasn't. Big G didn't like that too much so Thanos blasted him away, breaking his helmet and discombobulating him. But yeah, Eternity is too much >.<

You need to pay attenton, Thanos took a full blast of Odin's power. At best one might say Darkseid's Omega Effect is that strong, yet he withstood it. Also, a couple of things that were left out of Thanos's arsenal of powers is telepathy (not just defense) and teleportation (point to point and interstellar). All in all, athough biased the auther of the video is correct, in orderfor this to be an even battle Darkseid needs to be beefed-up.

Except that Thanos hasn't used the Infinity Gauntlet in the comics for nearly twenty years now; and hasn't needed it to be a major powerhouse in his own right. At the onset of "Thanos Imperative" he with out any weapons (or cloths for that matter) and at only a fraction of his power in a rage wiped out 2 billion people on a planet of powered up worshippers in only a few hours.

I notice you do mention he was using the Powergem when he beat Champion, but neglect to mention he was using the Infinity Gauntlet when he blasted Galactus and defeated Eternity and was confronted by the higher cosmic beings. With out it he is hardly on their level, granted he is still pretty damn close to it, but its still a fact that with out the Infinity Gauntlet he wouldn't stand a chance against the likes of Eternity, The One Above All (Celestial), and the others.

@TheRhuen Thanos actually doesn't have the infinity gauntlet when he blasts Galactus away, or the power gem when he fought Champion..Champion had the gem. Thanos was trying to help Galactus realize that he was about to release the 'Hunger' from a different plane and Galactus thought he was lying so Thanos tried to enter his mind to show him he wasn't. Big G didn't like that too much so Thanos blasted him away, breaking his helmet and discombobulating him. But yeah, Eternity is too much >.<

That being said it was probably the only answer I would have taken as to why he could be better than Thor. This is just a debate about what would happen if powers were used literally, w/o the writers need to make a compelling story. Supes can experience time at a standstill. You need to pay attenton, Thanos took a full blast of Odin's power. At best one might say Darkseid's Omega Effect is that strong, yet he withstood it. Also, a couple of things that were left out of Thanos's arsenal of powers is telepathy (not just defense) and teleportation (point to point and interstellar). All in all, athough biased the auther of the video is correct, in orderfor this to be an even battle Darkseid needs to be beefed-up.

I give it to Darkseid. Thanos with infinity gauntlet? I give it to Thanos. Either or, speaking from an exterior layer of their character roles. Darkseid just seems much stronger, only because he doesn't answer to anyone like a bitch. Thanos on the other hand answers to Galactus at times.

Who said Thanos was using the infinity gems? If people can just automatically say he does then Darkseid automatically has the anti life equation.I know the gems are powerful and they have loads of abilities,but the anti life equation can bend the will of anybody in the universe so you tell me,Does the infinity gems protect against that? Don't waste your time. He even admits Darkseid can keep up with Flash, and he thinks speed factor is a close call? Flash is BEYOND the speed of light with the Speed Force. Speed factor should easily go to Darkseid. But he thinks it's too close to call? That's how you know this guy is a fanboy and a biased one at that. Prolly lost too many darkseid vs thanos debates and got all butt-hurt

@Dimi934 But to be honest, Thanos has more to his arsenal than Darkseid does. Darkseid vs Galactus -> Galactus wins, it took nearly all of Galactus' power in form of beam to break through Thanos' force field. Darkseid doesn't possess enough power to accomplish that, and as said in the video, Superman and Doomsday + other beings of higher grade are able to withstand the Omega Beam...Even without the Infinity Gauntlet, he's a terror. He pimp slaps hulk and thing as if they were prostitutes.

@Dimi934 Wrong, because in the comics involving the rot him and death created he admitted to only rarely tapping into his power cosmic, because it drives him insane to use. His power was on par, or barely lesser to that of Lady Death's when they worked in unison to save the universe from their own creation.

@Dimi934 He never doesn't have it. He always has it with him. And the thing about "Heroes always win," Are you 10? Thanos killed the Silver Surfer in the Comics. Silver Surfer. The guy who can kill Galactus. Superman would get killed in much less time. Superman can't control anything on the Cosmic Level. Even when he could move planets, Thanos killed the God Eternity with the Gauntlet. Killed a God. Superman couldn't stop the Anti-Monitor. The Lantern did. Superman can't beat anyone.
