  • Can someone help me? When playing D sharp do you play it on the forth fret of the 2nd string???

  • @wenh08 Yes, you play it on the fourth fret...

  • Note: I am not saying you aren't playing it fast enough - you're playing it just right IMHO, although it's faster than suggested tempo there. My previous comment was just about did Noad intend this piece to practice rest stroke or free stroke with thumb. I am not sure.

  • It's interesting - you're playing all free strokes with thumb. I've learned it the same way. But I've just looked in the Noad's book and he's saying something like he recommends to use thumb rest stroke in *slow* arpegios, and free in *fast*. Not sure if this one qualifies as fast. Just pondering...

  • I'm currently learning this piece for a private lesson I have at the college this semester and it's great to be able to hear it to help ingrain the sound in my mind, I lost the CD that came with the Frederick Noad book when I got it last year, and this is the best I've found. You play it very confidently and clearly, it's a great performance.

  • @Anyxyl I appreciate your comments and it's nice to know my video is helpful to you. Best luck to you with this piece and keep practicing...!

    James

  • @Anyxyl same here!

  • Thank you, I need to learn this next for my grade 5 exam and having a resource like this is invaluable..

  • @juiceterry67 Very happy that it is helpful. Best luck to you on your exam...

    Cheers,

  • I have gotta learn the first 35 seconds of this whole piece for my guitar teacher over the summer holiday this guy plays it so well and with so much confidence i wish i could play it that fast

  • @shianara3 If you focus on playing slowly and carefully, the speed will come gradually. But take your time with it and it will happen! Thank you for watching and best of luck...

    James
