BTW, I think even "opt-in" is going too far. School is for education, not indoctrination (don't fool yourself, "RE" is indoctrination). The only place religion should have in education is some sort of "comparative religion" class, where students learn about many religions and their sects from a scholarly perspective. Religion is interesting and it helps to explain a lot of history and the BS currently going on in the world. It's only when you take it seriously that you run into problems!
I liked this interview better than the Steve Vizard interview posted yesterday. Not only is it better match of people (Hinch v the education minister), but he's also sympathetic to our cause.
I wasn't allowed to read a comic book because i was told if I did I would go to Hell. Not Kidding!
