I work on computers for a living and this is the best laptop i've ever owned. Not sure of the specs but mine has a dual core etc. And i have never had a single issue, its fast and very reliable. Never a blue screen, crash, freeze, nothing. Since Acer bought them they ROCK! Mine was 300$ on sale!!

Return it to the store or exchange it. if it passes the warnt date for returns, contact the brand official website. Then return it or have them fix it because most computers have a 1 year manufacturer warranty. The virus, Now days, anti virus softwares needs internet to install it. you can't really do anything no more. contact the official manufactuer or brand company.

@pukka5 I can tell you that it doesn't do 720p very well. If you would manage to run it probably, only as much as the smallest flash animation or anything will kill the smoothness. The CPU of this thing SUCK bigtime, I know cause I had the same one (TF-20) 1.6 ghz AMD Athlon piece of shit. You should look around for some "Turion or Turion x2" upgrade. It will boost the power by 3 or 4 times in benchmarks. Good luck if you still own this machine.

@pukka5 Try 720p youtube and you're pretty much screwed. Ofc it does 720p .mkv files since atom processors can handle that as well. This CPU is one mofo of a sucker and you know it. It has a TDP of 20W and performs no better than 1.6 Ghz Atom N270 which TDP is about 2.5W so it's more or less as bad as it can be. Never tried anything this weak since before the millinium. I am only waiting to replace it with Turion instead. This processor probably only has one advantage, which would be the price.

Bought the new, updated version of this laptop at walmart for $298. It has a Pentium Dual core 2.02Ghz processor, 3GB of RAM, an 800Mhz front side bus, Windows 7, 250GB hard drive at 5400rpms. Everything else is about the same. Sound is as expected for a budget laptop, if somewhat impressive at the price I paid.

@xXnikkii19Xx Unfortunately, that is the one thing it doesn't have. It has a mic jack, but not a mic. You can use any standard mic with it, and honestly - the built in mics tend to be poor quality anyway. Hope this helps.

2: Run Disk Cleanup

To run these utilities, go to start, all programs, accessories, then system tools. You will find the stuff there. I hope this helps.

I have one, I plan to by another one and would buy another one just to keep in my truck in a heartbeat ...Excellent value for the bucks ... the ONLY thing I have found that is less than wonderful for the price is the Speakers ... just plan on using externals or headphones most of the time (with headphones it Rocks) ... this is a quality system with some serious goodyness ...
