for me its really amazing and second best intro is def Voyager.

Every fan hated it cause it didn't have that sci fi feel to it, somehow though even being biased towards TOS and TNG the Enterprise theme sorta grows on you after like ten episodes.

@GammaX107 Not just that but they just rehashed a Rod Stewart song for the opening instead of creating a piece of music from scratch (TOS, DS9, VOY) or at least use a trek movie theme for it's opening (TNG). Had ENT had it's theme similar to WOK's opening people may not have cared less about the theme even if the stories overall sucked.

@trans8010 the couldint enterpise is about the start that humanity had the dreams to go out and explore and to bodly go where noone has gone before and if you ask me this song did a really good job  matching the series

@thebankaiking Sure they could! The producers could have had a composer develop a theme that could articulate the meaning just as well. However they didn't and cheapened the feel of the show with a generic song. Faith of the Heart may have been a fitting theme in theory but it just wasn't Star Trek.

@LRowe531 Parmount is in the works in doing all new versions of all STAR TREK shows from the main to NEXT GEN. DS9 and ENTERPRISE. The best as to date is Enterprise, for all the cast has said yes to doing it with them on the warp 7 ship. DS9 is in a movie talk stage. Next gen. is looking at making it farther in the future just not sure how far.. Thats all I know for now. My person (one of the main actors know real well) knows nothing more...

@tarziq well it has to do with the definition of "futuristic" when the show was filmed, that's why the tricorders on enterprise looked way cooler and more modern than they did in the next generation, not to mention that filming techniques got a lot better and a ton of enterprise was done with cgi rather than the traditional ship models used for the previous shows
