@amonster8mymother The Barsoom Series is about John Carter, a soldier in the American Civil War with an ambiguous past. After a battle, he finds himself injured and isolated, and drifts off in what he believes to be sleep or death. When he awakes, he finds himself in an alien vista, his welcomers green monstrous humanoids fond of warfare. Battling these foes, he finds himself physically capable of inhuman feats. From there, he meets other inhabitants and has more adventures on the world Basoom.
@TheRealNyanta you're partially incorrect. after the civil war, john took up prospecting with one of his friends. while out mining in the western territory, they are attacked by apaches. his friend killed, he runs and hides in a cave. that's when he falls asleep and wakes up on mars.
In retrospect I wish I had used clips from Troy and I originally intended to but I had a deadline and could not fit it in. I also intended to do a voice over but haven't made the time yet.
Read the guys description idiot: It states scenes were used from 300, Gettysburgh, Star War and The Gladiator because if you actually read the novels you would know all those scenes are actually in the book series (Civil War, massive battles, gladiator fights in the arena) and in the case of Star Wars most of it came from the first 3 books (hover craft, light sabers, Jabba the Hut, the Princess character, the use of the term Jedi, etc...). The books were written about 90 years ago.
I hate this song.

You should have used the gray gorillas from Congo to be the White Apes.

I saw it. The premise is good. The film does not treat Rice's style very well. It has a TV ending. Traci Lords looks like she is about 55.

a little overdone on the 300, but still exciting to watch from the beginning and middle parts.
