  • That's Not The Skl. It Don't Look Like Dat.

  • Wow..I'm In St.Georges Now And Its COMPLETELY Different !

  • i love how she just walks in and makes it her home :')

  • the complete and utter scumbags should have been shot infront of the whole school

  • i take it they filmed parts in aother school some is not st georges like when shes walking to th hall with the schoolkeeper but the Hall itself is st Georges

  • @thecritic2007 I know you commented on this film aaaages ago, but what parts were filmed in St Georges? What about the yard, and the gates? was that St Georges?

  • @wickedexpert i dont think any of it was filmed at the real st Georges no the gates were not st Georges i use to work at st Georges when Philip was head there and the back of st georges was on Lanark Road and the main gates were 2 big black gates but they were on the other side i cant remember the name of that road

  • i remember Mr Lawrence he alwas had a dicki-bow tie on such a nice guy. our R,E and sports teacher was Mr Ronan i remember the two caretakers a young guy and oldguy but dont remember tere names

  • man i love julie walters =]]

  • Yeah..me too !!haha

    Thanks for comment !

  • Ms Hodge, Ms Churchwald, Ms Frost, Ms Derdabi, Mr Bland, Mr Jakzta, Ms George, Ms Toia, Wendy, Sandra, Mr Duah, Ms Harding, Ms Hillman, Ms Rabi, Ms Vincent. these are just a few who were lucky to be my teacher (LOL). these teachers were GREAT teachers who did their best to help any type of student, if anyone who deserves the credit are these people above, they were the real people who turned things around. This film showed these teachers very negative which is totally unfair.Big thank you to u'll!

  • Thanks for ur comments and big thanks to these great teachers. Therefore ..the film should not so good without them !

  • I totally agree with you there pabs20052005, Lady stubbs did have a part to play in bringing some positive into the school, BUT NO WAY she was the direct impact, it was the STUDENTS, it was here luck that student actually wanted to do well and were much more civilised. it is not fair at all to take all the credit, I hardly saw her as well except for assemblies, I too do not recall grafiti in the gym. there were teachers there for years who helped make changes, just to name a few:.....

  • ...But one must consider, the scandal was based on journalistic research whereas this film was based on a book written by the woman its about, hmmmm am sure they both deserve the same creditability.

  • i actually deep down thought she had great potential to affect the school and not find it as an unachievable goal. Congratulations to her for her massive achievement shown in this film and am sure the scandal her husband was involved in was probably untrue, i mean if the media can make a film-documentary without talking to those who were actually there then by all means they can unrightfully besmirch a persons name...

  • adverse conditions, managed to get through to students who showed potential? After all a publisher would find much more marketable a book where a single person could be portrayed as a miracle worker, and am sure money that Lady Stubbs wouldn't complain about the money she made from falsely bad mouthing the school. But in the end its down to perception right? i mean in her mind she could have really seen the reasonable conditions she took over as overwhelming, but thats just me, maybe...

  • ...fact that it was there that my academic life begun, which is why am posting this. This film is ridiculously biased and under researched, smoking and graffiti within the school, I must have always walked by and never saw the huge graffiti in the gym for the 5 years i was there. Finally i find it interesting that Lady Stubbs wrote a book on her experience in St George, but one must wonder how appealing would it be to read a book where students put in the effort, the teachers, although under ...

  • ...i've followed the schools progress over the years and had it not been for the teachers will, and the students commitment ofstead would have gone forth to close the school. Finally, Lady Stubbs is seen as the hero of the story and little is said about Mr Jakster (Sorry but i never learned how to spell his name) who i personally belief was probably the person who should be praised if anyone, not only was he respected by students but liked, and i felt this was mutual. Am very grateful to the...

  • ...result of her doings. This film portrays her as some sort of Hands on motivational expert, and to be frank i will admit Mr. Deblin and Ms. O'Leary were involved constantly,as for her, she was hardly seen except mondays during assembly were she would give us lectures on morality, and to quote one of her comments which is still fresh 'i have two dogs who when they do something right, they receive a treat', this is how she saw us?Dogs to be trained? i know i should really be thankful, but...

  • Following this the students had different standards back when she came and when the school was in trouble, Lady Stubbs arrived to what i think was the last of the years that could be considered as 'out of control', which for some reason is not an actual factor taken into account in this film. the students that Lady Stubbs was in charge at the time were perhaps some of the best the school had seen in a long time, which was represented in the grades which were earned by them/us and not as a...

  • ...to go as far to suggest that it her sole management was the crucial point to St. Georges progress is just not true. The teachers which came new at the time, as well as those that had several years experience there were perhaps the biggest influence in the success of the school. They were given a difficult time by the students and i think that they have not been appreciated enough in this film. It was them that facilitated Lady Stubbs' work....

  • I went to St George and was in year 7, 5 years after Philip Lawrence's Murder. So was my brother, which is why i can honestly say the school was bad, the rivalry with St Augustine's made for a bunch of fights back then BUT i honestly think that this film exaggerates Lady Stubbs' input into what the school has becomes. No offense to her because her influence brought into the school a lot of good publicity as well as capital to make changes, and am sure the school is thankful for that, BUT ....

  • I went to st.georges,, at the time i thought it was the crappest school ever,, but now looking back i think its the best lol

I can remember one monday after this film was on on the sunday we had a big assembly about it, saying how much the school has changed =]

    XXX

  • Marie stubbs has inspired me to become a teacher, hopefully i can make a difference, just like she did with the children of St Georges
