Why can't Greece let the country to its north be called Macedonai,just because Greece also has a province of this name? Francew has a region called Brittany/Bretagne, and doesn't think this means the UK (Britain) has a claim on this bit of France. Likewise, Belguim has a province called Luxembourg, and maybe the Greater London Council should be collecting Council tax from N E Italy because London has an area called Little Venice???

the video is spectacular! beautiful country! Don't know much about the music, I am "educating myself" to the various people of the world. I am of middle eastern/american mix. I do hear a thread of music that connects cultures whether they want to admit it or not. Still wonderful music!!!

Macedonian language is very simmilar to ukrainian and other slavic languages... I can understand many words but I don't really understand what it is being sung about....

This is what wikipedia says "The Ohrid Literary School was established in Ohrid in 886 by Saint Clement of Ohrid on orders of Boris I of Bulgaria." They formed the Slavic literacy at that time from the Glagolitic alphabet and created the Cyrillic alphabet. And since 1945 the language, that you talk was called Bulgarian dialect.

Any moron can say "OH I LEARNED THAT FROM WIKIPEDIA!" That doesn't mean jack! Macedonians formed the Cyrlic alphabet. Bulgarian music is mostly pentatonic. Macedonian music is diatonic.

@jahpreast We are brothers, but we, as in my people are not bulgarians. We can be Macedonians and Bulgarians and still be brothers, even the greeks. But so much propaganda has caused the Balkans to be a very unpeaceful place, due to extreme nationalism.

And the filthy hand of France, the USA and Britian blindly following the greeks and the Bulgarians on the decision to divide Macedonia in 4 parts. Look around, The World is uniting, so many people are spending their energy on government manipulations. Countries are just names, do you see borders on planet earth looking it from space. It is not far the time that this will be realized from all and Balkans will be united, looking back in these years would lead to a conclusion that all this talks and energy wasting were so useless and small minded
