Hey, nice job...can you handle some constructive criticism? I notice you use a lot of sweeps..okay, fine. But you downstroke almost everything here! Most of RR's playing is hard to replicate...simply because he was very precise on picking. You might have the right notes but it wasn't all hammer ons and pulls off. So work on the upstrokes a bit? Just my opinion. Thanks for the post!

@DickLodge68 Thanks. I know what you mean and I can say you're quite right . I use mostly legato because my alternate picking is not very good. I know that and I decided to try to improve that technique these last months, but when you spent many years playing in that way, it's quite hard to change habits.

@StephLeGratteux I'm not complaining...you play better than I do and I've been at it for over 25 years! But alternate picking has a huge advantage...cuts your effort in half in some cases. Old habits are so very heard to break, I know! I just like seeing/listening how others play. Your picking style caught my eye. By all means - keep going!

@DickLodge68 Don't worry, I know you're not complaning, you just said something constructive (which is quite rare on youtube :P ) and I appreciate. I think my left hand is quite fast but when I have to learn some licks with fast alternate picking, I realize that my right hand still needs some work. That's quite bothering when I want to some some neoclassical tunes, because sometimes legato with hammer-on and pull-off can't sound as good as some alternate picking.

@StephLeGratteux Funny...no ironic. Your right hand needs some work - you are right-handed! That's one thing many people don't understand about playing. I'm right-handed too...but my left hand does just great! Hell, I can arpeggio scales great w/o my right! I'm just joking some...you play great! The hammer-on P/off thing is just simplified by how well RR picked every note! Thanks for the response, I love this stuff!

Love this man....Randy was always my biggest guitar hero when he was with Ozzy...what a terrible day it was when we lost him!

This is not only outstanding playing of one of the greatest tunes he did, but an excellent and tastefully respectful tribute to a fallen hero cut down in his prime, way too soon!

@StephLeGratteux It 's a classic hit from UFO's  Phenomenon album in 1974. (Michael Schenker was in UFO at that time, MSG is his own band after leaving UFO). Give it a try sometime, I though you would like it...

@andyrock75 Oh yes right, UFO ! Same era than Doctor Doctor ! I just remembered Michael Schenker played it, wasn't not sure about UFO or MSG (MSG play it too in concert). I thought about covering Doctor Doctor some months ago but the song is a bit repetitive to play, so I didn't do it :P

I just listened to Rock Bottom : killer riffs and great solo; the solo got common pentatonic licks, so I think I will be able to play it :)

Kelly's fucking rock. How's the neck feel on it? and fretboard (radius, frets, etc.)? I've never gotten to play one myself, but i've heard them and they're beautiful. Jackson makes of the sickest guitars on the planet IMO

@CyValkarion It's a good guitar for a cheap guitar. But I prefer the other Jackson I have. This one is more difficult to play because the neck is not as thin as my old Fusion. And yes, Jackson makes awesome guitars, especially in Custom Shop.

@SnakePitGuitar This guitar has an originally whammy bar. This is a Jackson JT580 (Floyd Rose licensed). I didn't install it. The model is Jackson KE-3 (Pro Series from Japan). But I forgot to tell that I buy it as second-hand and yes, the price for a new one is about 700 euros.

The only thing that have been changed is pickups. First there was Duncan Designed Pickups and now there are EMG 81-85. On the new models, original pickups are real Seymour Duncan TB4 and SH2N.

But there is a reason for that : I used a new webcam for the 3 last videos and I needed to be dressed with clear clothes to have a better video quality (during fast movements). I don't know why, but dressed in black (or with too much dark colors in the image), every fast movement appears out of focus and blurred...

mine did that when i used to make videos but then i messed with the webcam options and stuff and there was something called autocontrast or something but the little describe button said it turns on when ever theres a large difference in color change during the video. so just try to see if you can mess around with the options :]

Thanx for the comment. The KE-3 is a very good guitar for a cheap guitar. I got a good sustain with EMG pickups (I don't know how it is with the original Duncan pickups). The Jackson Floyd Rose licenced is quite good for divebombs, and the neck is thin for shred. But I also have a old Jackson made in USA and of course the US one is a way better than the Japanese one (but also more expensive...)
