  • the original choreography was done by Janet and anthony thomas

  • ellens got the nark there, whats happened did janet not let her hold her tennis ball

  • that was NOT ellen flipinn' im mean come on. lol carzy tho gotta love her. you too janet!

  • I agree Janet also sings to a backing track when doin this song'. I've heard her sing sing every other song live but she also use a backer for this one for some reason!! She always kills the performance tho! I love that opening part. Y doesn'r she do Miss U Much sometimes?

  • And she still got it!

  • EPIC

  • the man name of janet choreegraphy for rhtyhm nation dance move is anthony thomas !

  • no the tall skinny black dude in the video did all the choreography he has curly hair he done all the move i don't remember his name

  • @stlsalonzo06 Lavelle smith :)

  • Michael also used military moves when he performed Jam :) xx

  • Michael gave Janet those moves. He told her it was alright to have them. -smiles-

  • Michael Jackson did not choreograph Rhythm Nation. He liked the militaristic form, but never really used it until the HIStory tour with They Don't Care About Us.

  • no he didnt choreograph it, but Janet got the Idea from Michael. he did a military type of dance for Captain EO she liked it so she started using it.

  • in britain ellen would be battered for tlking shite, lalalalalalala

  • janet was awesome, and Ellen was hilarious with those flips

  • she is really good

  • Michael did not do the choreography. He mentioned that he wanted to do a military type album after he did captain EO but Janet wanted to do the military style so he let her do it. Lavell Smith and Tina Landon made this dance up 4 her.

  • I'm sure he helped with the choreo, that's TOO mike for him not to have helped

  • Michael Jackson choreagraphed the dance for the song.

  • that choreography is nice!! she moves like mike!!

  • who have this version?

    song

    :/please

  • Guys she wasn't lipping... you can her against the track.

  • @acbrieu

This song has never been 100% live. It is usually just the "Sing Up" and "Woohs" that are live. The rest is lipsynced.

  • I saw rn tour here in n.y. she was the headliner by herself expect for the r.n. dance she danced the hold show herself. i think she was 24 then but she put it down.

  • janet is live when she started singing from :sing it people, sing it children, singing if you want a better way of life to the end, you can tell the difference.backing tracks with artist who dances also help to keep the band on the same pace every night. with out the backing traks every night the dancers will be moving to a different pace and choreog will be off. i danced in live shows in vegas for years, we had backing tracks for the band but the singer no. they didn't dance so no need 4 it.

  • The Queen!

  • no i'll tell YOU what? you fuckin edit the video since you know better than me. i am a singer with a good ear as well and i can tell by expressions that she is singing. if you dont think so thats your problem, im not going over this.

  • now this is Miss Janet, a force of nature...I hope this woman is on tour and not the Janet of the past 4 years

  • Awesome to see her doing the same dance from the video, but it would be nice if she was actually singing.

  • you cant be serious? she was singing with a backing track. of course he voice is gonna blend in because her voice is really strong but she is singing live, jus like the luv performance.

  • see this is where ppl get Janet lit up. Those are the same vocals from '89, she always uses the same vocals for this song on all her tours, anyone who if a J fan knows that...she does sing live but this has never been live from what i've heard.

  • once a-FreakiN-gain, she is singing with the recorded vocals. the level of the recorded vocals and her microphone sounds like its raised to the same level so it can blend. yea its kinda like cheating but she doesnt have the same powerful vocals she had at that time. also let me say her performances always bring it, she may not have sang live very much but her energy and dancing has always been up to par.

  • i must agree that she alwasy sounds the same in all her live shows because yes the backing tracks are playing. i would like to see this concert be more about the live music. also some of the songs don't need dancing, just grab that mic and walk the stage and sing your ass off baby girl. she great on the rock songs. black cat, what about, trust and try.

    great vocals powerfull.

  • now i was able to see janet band rehearsed for her mini concert in Bahaamas Cove in 2006.

They did all live music. I also saw the rehearsal when she joined the band to do her vocals, she was all live and on RN as well. At the actuall concert yes they added the backing tracks but that is there for comfort and safety. janet can sing if she cuts back on the dancing but she's a performer and that's what i pay to see when i go to her concert. just listen to the RN Tour before all the dancing .

  • ok let me give you my 5 cents on this topic. i had the opportunity of seeing ms j. in her first live concert RN back in 89 90. watch it right her on youtube in black&white. she was almost live during that entire show because her set listing was short after only 2 cds. now that her set listing is so long some of her vocals are pre-recorded and who doesn't do it. even ms houston did it back in the days when her vocals were at her best because she wanted to attempt to dance with her male dancer.

  • totally agree with you, im not denying that she does it im jus saying she singin with it. these days she has really cut back on the lipping. i think on the tour she will do way more singing. shes capable.

  • sorry guys, i was in a hurry to get to work. i ended up being 10 mins late to work trying to put these videos up, lol. i immediately fixed the titles, thanx for the comments.

  • the LABEL IS WRONG..the titles are switched...rhythm nation is Luv

  • This is Rhythm Nation

  • THE BEST THAT EVER DID IT.

  • Luv was the shit! fo'real

  • luv????
