great video! i love the idea that the audience's minds are a prop for the performer to manipulate. it makes a lot of sense. any move that involves illusion or requires the viewer to compile a sequence of moves into a pattern in their mind accomplishes this. also drawing an emotional response is a way of manipulating the audience. great stuff to think about. thanks for posting!
@e6of1 Nice response! You got it! And as any move you can break down how to manipulate the audience into smaller bits for you to learn (I have yet to come close to master this ability) but I aim to, with this theory in my pocket =)
Part two will hopefully include more in-depth stuff.
Great video! its great to see theory on performance from a object manipulators point of view. i really like how you broke it down to incorporate the psych. i think it seems to be a good umbrella category for things such as the accumulated muscle memory, schema of pattern formation, a schema of the observer as well as the total perceived concept of the art( involving the effects of mirror neurons and the like). thanks this really got me thinking. i will be looking forward to the rest. peace!
i like this a lot. there is so much more to poi than ppl know. Would love it if u checked out my newest vid and gave some critique.

@recklesme Explain "mirror neurons" I heard that somewhere else way back but I can't remember what they were.
You bring up a lot of good points I'll see which ones fit part two and see how it all fits into the theory.
Glad it got you thinking. My head has been itching to get it out for weeks and I finally got around to record me and my crappy English :P Cheers!
