  • Now after 17 years of playing for Green Bay and bringing them up from the depths to a Championship . Also when you remember this fact also remember Mike Holmgren, Steve Mariucci and Reggie White because without all 4 of them there would have been no Superbowl win in 2011. Brett will always know who gave him his chance to shine maybe all you that call yourself Packer Fans should too

  • Now after three years of embarrassment the guys on ebay can't give his stuff away. Two franchises in tailspins, notch another heartbreaking playoff INT in 2009, wang-gate, and beaten black and blue in 2010.

If he just could measure himself properly and Ted Thompson properly he could have had a few more good to great seasons with Green Bay and retired an even bigger legend. Instead he proved that he didn't want to work hard and his understudy did - willing to do the "little things",

  • The best ever in my opinion, nobody will ever match this mans presents on the playing field, and all he has done for people(mainly kids)off the field. Great job, please watch my tribute to him, i have posted it at top.

And thanks Brett, the game will miss you.

  • Brett Favre will etch his mark in sports history, and our hearts, for he truly is the best. He has proved to us that nothing is impossibel, he EARNED the right to retire, and I will remeber him.

  • so I absolutely love Brett Favre and the Packers... But he didn't die guys, he retired.

  • this whole week I was so distracted...i could even concetrate when i track practice... when i first found out i didnt belive it... i thought people were kidding at first. the packers wont be the same without him... he will never be forgotton.

  • the greatest player of all time!

  • I'm a dude... I eat, sleep, breathe Packers. I haven't gotten that emotional throughout the whole situation. After seeing this vid I started crying. The man was amazing and gave the city of Green Bay his heart and sole. All I can say is he is my hero.

  • the image at 3:11 is the essence of his playing style, improvisational. That play during the seahawks game and that 80 yard overtime td pass in denver are up there in the top 10 plays of his career. And he made both those plays when alot of people were saying he couldn't anymore. I'm so sad he's leaving the game. There's going to be a big void in football and who knows how long it will take to fill it.

  • i have been a die hard cowboys fan my whole life and when the cowboys knocked him out of the game i shoulda been happy cause he was a huge threat but i just turned off the tv because i knew it would be boring without him

he is without a quaetion the greatest player ever to step foot on the football field

  • MADE ME CRY

  • seems sureal, i still hope he comes back, i dont think hell be able to stop playing untell he cant move

  • Brett thank you for all you and your wife have given you will both be missed

  • man it wont be the same with out him

  • What an absolute joy to watch him throughout his career from the time he arrived in Green Bay(Fox Valley, WI represent!) I was in junior high when he started and am now 28. I feel like a little peice of my youth retired with him. He went out after his second best statistical season of his career, better than 2 of his 3 magnificent MVP years. 13-3 and led the youngest team in the NFL to an overtime from the Super Bowl, breaking records like gangbusters along the way. Wow.

  • I feel like i lost a great friend today. This man played with a passion unparrellelled by anyone. Brett made me a Packer fan 4 life. Sundays wont be the same without him.

  • Brett farve was truly the best quaterback in NFL history. He will never be forgotten! He was awesome. Im a number 1 packer fan! And i live in Green Bay and the whole city is sad. WE LOVE BRETT FARVE!!!! He is very missed by all packer fans.

  • I have been a diehard Detroit Lion fan my whole life, because of that, I hated Green Bay ever since I can remember but I loved Brett Favre. He played the game the way it was meant to be played and was a joy to watch. It's sad to see him go and he will be missed greatly. He is one of the greatest qbs to ever play, not quite at the top but his legacy that he leaves behind will never be matched by any athlete. Congrats on a great career Brett!!

  • thank you! I have never cried more in my life. We all love you.

  • Brett Favre, i have been watchin ur greatness all my life, and i wouldnt trade a sunday in the world when i would watch games wit u wit my dad, i respect ur decision 4 retiring, and i almost lost it in skool when i found out u retired!

  • Brett...

eversince i can remember all my sundays have been dedicated to watching you! all my jersey numbers are 4 because of you.

YOu truly are a legend and a hero on and off the field. YOu will be greatly missed

    love Paula

  • Youll be greatly missed, I loved watching you play the game like a young kid. Much love and we will miss you coming to play here in Buffalo!!!

    Thanks,

    Bills Fan

  • Brett, you will be missed deeply by everyone of your fans, especially the ones up here in Wisconsin. When i was in school the other day and heard the news the mood of the whole school changed from good to sad. The Whole state of Wisconsin is truly under mourning right now, all because of what a positive role model your were and because of your great athletic skills. It was truly an honor watching you play every Sunday in Green and Gold!

  • the same thing happend at my school after my principle went on the intercome saying that it was true everyone stoped in the halls and we couldnt believe it and the next day lots of people wore packer cloths and my teacher wore black because he was upset about brett. thanks brett for what you did for us

  • I"m incredibly sad about this, Favre was and always will be a living legend, I'll wear his jersey in honor today. I love you Favre !

  • Awesome video, it brought tears to my eyes. I grew up watching him play, he will always be the greatest quarterback to ever play the game.

  • We will remember u thank u for all the great memories

    U R TRULY THE GREATEST

    Brett Favre Will Be Missed

  • Goodbye Brett, very well played sir. I miss you already

  • I felt a little silly getting teared up when I heard the news, (I didn't want my husband to make fun of me!)...but eventually when no one was looking my eyes got watery. You can make fun of me, but I won't apologize for caring so much about such a wonderful player and person...what a great role model and all around person. he will be greatly missed...

  • I'm a die hard Steelers fan but I have to say that Brett Favre is one of the best players to ever play the game. God Bless you Brett and thank you so much for all of the wonderful memories. You are a true professional on and off the field.

  • Thanks Brett for all the memories.

  • im soo friekien bummed, but i guess its his time to retire, i hope rogers can step up and it wont be soon untill we see favre enter the hall of fame

  • dude come back for one more year and make rogers sit atleast one more season

  • it said for him to walk away:(

  • I'm so bummed. We love you Brett Favre. We knew this day would be coming, but I was hoping it wouldn't be soon. I'm just happy for him that he'll finally be able to really focus on his family. He deserves it after all he's giving to us.

  • Also, to anyobdy who didn't grow up with favre like i did, dont ever let ANYONE tell you that there was anyone better than him. If they say "he was one of the best", correct them. say, "he IS the best".

  • damn straight he IS the best ever

  • couldnt agree more... the whole state of WI is sad right now...

  • im in complete denial right now. favre has been quarterback my whole life, and now its like... a huge part missing in my life. He has always been such a big thing in my heart, no doubt in everybody's, i just cant take it. i dont care if its just football, i love the man. but i will be proud to tell my children and grandchildren that i grew up with knowing the great Brett Favre. im gunna miss him.

  • greatest football player ever you will be missed favre

  • this was a very good video. it really touches the heart. packer football will never be the same. it has the feeling like losing a close loved one

  • this was a great video and it really touches the heart. packer football will never be the same without him and its hard to say good bye. it has the feeling like a close loved one dying

  • "But when you lose a family member or something tragic happens, that stays with you forever. You never get over it. Knowing that you have to deal with that for the rest of your life... Football is important, but not as important as you once thought it was."

The word according to Favre, Amen. Amen Brett, Amen.
