im just having one problem now,, because at 4:00 i cant press the "tick forward" thing,,, now i thought that would be a problem, but if i try to resume and pause at the moment i want the next key, i can not make a new key, because it says ''delete key'' (the previous one)

anyone knows something about that??? :3

@THEgoodSPAI You can't. The "camera" is the player model flying through the air. I suggest the replay feature if you want to see yourself.

Whats the command to get that zoomed in look? Torn Productions does it a lot with their movies for tf2.

@crazyspooks10 I haven't seen any Torn Productions videos, but they may be using the fov command. Using a lower FOV would give off a zoomed in/small view, while higher would make it more zoomed out/wider view.

@GamerClipz I found out the command. Apparently it was updated and ruined, but its r_aspectratio if you're interested. Also, check out torn productions. They're competitive players and an amazing group of editors. Justin white is the only one that comes to mind, but yeah if ur interested they're in my "other channels" or just youtube them. Enjoy =]

If you are wondering another way to record, the demosmoothed file is playable via the "Playdemo" command. Before you play this, just type "host_framerate *#*" (I suggest 30). Than play the demo. Sit back with a beer, as it is now rendering and will take much longer than the actual clip. When it is finished, it will go back to the main menu and the console will open up. Type "end". Then navigate to the folder in which the game is located. There will be a bunch of TGA files. Use VirtualDub. :)

No, not through this method. You could go the long way around and have a server used a SourceTV recording but I know nothing about those.

You'd have to record it first, then compress it to a suitable format. You can either use Fraps or the video exporting feature with the source recorder (which I don't use myself, so you'd have to search for it)

I have to say that, the most important parts where I got confused, were the parts that the maker of the vid did really fast like someone who knows already, we don't!, please dont over explain common things like console commands and leave the important, weird stuff we want to know about in the smoother more time, so we learn, I had to rewind the vid and watch the same short period of time to find out that I had to press "reloead, select, drive, make key frame" in that order.

Jebus, I freaking hate steam. I just bought the orange box and I successfully updated all except Half-Life:Ep2 and TF2. AHHH! Everytime I restart my pc, the TF2's update process goes back to zero. Half-Life:Ep2 just won't finnish the update process. It's at 90% already:-j.

If by Source Recorder, you mean the ways to get it to convert to video for you (instead of doing what I do and just recording with fraps) Yes, it does record audio. Although I would not be able to tell you where to find all of this except for maybe google the help.

I don't know anything about bots for DOD:S, but I'm sure there is also a list of bot commands for it like there was for TF2 that will tell you how to do what you want.

Or you could just get some friends to help :x

Do you mean having a part of the demo playback that slows down automatically? If so, I'm not sure. You can do it manually using the host_timescale command while the demo is playing (host_timescale 1 [1 is normal speed, anything below is slower and anything above is faster]).

Well, I know a longer way to do that. Instead of making the 2 points and moving on to the next, make the 2 points, but make the second point go in further in the timeline. Save, then you can go back into that demo and continue on from anywhere.

I used Fraps to record, and Sony Vegas to edit it. If you use Vegas these are the setting that I have for HD rendering: ---- Video Rendering Quality: Best Audio: Mode: CBR Format: Windows Media Audio 9.2 Attributes: 192kbps, 48 kHz, stereo (A/V) CBR Video: Mode: CBR Format: Windows Media Video 0 Resolution: (1280 x 720) Framerate: 29.97(NTSC) And 6 M (mbps) Bit Rate
