  • My parents divorced when I was very young. My mother, out of spite, kept me away from my dad. One of the rare weekends I got to visit, he had to take me home the very next day. He told me to pick out a cd to listen to on the ride back. I didn't know until years later that he was crying and was attempting to distract me.. "I hate this," he said. At that moment I found HUM in the case and silently pointed to "I Hate It Too." He told me this story the night before I graduated. I bawled my eyes out

  • @memyselfirene93 Your story made me feel sad. Intense dude.

  • I'd put this album up against any album in the 90's as one of the best.

Also glad to see the younger generations appreciating the music my generation made and enjoyed.

  • Yes<3

  • YES!

HUM deserved so much more attention.

    /notices Suicide Machine in playlist

Well, I know what I'm playing next

  • This song rocks so fuckin hard! Love it! Always loved Hum and no one knows about this hidden treasure...but instead of being greedy I turn all my friends on to them...

  • If anyone goes into the boys bathroom of Denver Christian High School and sees Hums shooting star symbol drawn on the wall of the middle stall, that was me... :-)

  • Im 13 and this band definitely makes my top 3 list.

  • Anyone under 18 listening to this?

  • @coreyfromaus I was 17 when it came out, does that count?

  • @AllisterKane Yes and no,What i meant was does anyone from the current generation who is 18 and under listening to this and Enjoying it,I was getting at the generic flaw that 95% of "teenagers" of the current Generation share and that is anything older then a year is garbage and not worth listening to.

  • @coreyfromaus I'm 14, don't see why it matters

  • @GritaThePig Because some people are afraid to let go of the past. :) Trust me, I'm an old lady and all of my old friends are constantly making similar comments.

  • @coreyfromaus Me!

  • @coreyfromaus yep.

  • @coreyfromaus I listened to this album when I was a baby. :) I went to sleep listening to it. I'm almost 17 now :)

  • @coreyfromaus Yeah, my dad introduced my to them.

  • @coreyfromaus i'm 16 man... for some reason, i keep thinking ed edd n eddy are based on real people, and when the got older they made a band like this.

  • @coreyfromaus hi i'm 16 and knew about hum for 2 years

  • @coreyfromaus I am 17. I turn 18 in May.

  • @coreyfromaus 17 bro

  • beautiful

  • i wish the celling was the ground, its a a egotistical thought, if the worst of your times would be the best, then how great would the good times be.. i dont blame him, i can really relate to that

  • @mshell11270

Nah, you just have to look. Maybe try out some Andrew Jackson Jihad

  • one of the best songs and bands ever

  • favourite. song. ever.

  • This should be considered one of the greatest albums of the 90s. This and "Loveless" by My Bloody Valentine. I`m tired of people saying "Nevermind" was the best album. I like Nirvana, but damn people stop overrating shit. Sorry too mention another band.

  • @SX1995able

Nevermind and In Utero are definitely 10/10 albums, but I agree, there are other contenders for the best albums of the 90s.

  • @SX1995able Yeah, I agree. Nirvana's my favorite band, but Nevermind is totally overrated. The best stuff from Nirvana has to be Bleach, Incesticide, In Utero, and their unreleased songs. Nevermind is definately my least favorite. Rubberneck by The Toadies is another good one.

  • @scruffy688 The Toadies are a pretty cool band. I agree that their best stuff is their least known stuff, but I`m actually fan of Nevermind`s overly produced, thick sound. I just don`t agree that it`s the best album of the 90s. People overrate Kurt Cobain so much, it`s not even humane. Most of those people probably don`t even know shit, and just want to be seen as rebels or something. It`s all good though.

  • @SX1995able The reason "Nevermind" is overrated so much is because of MTV making it out to be that album that changed everything. I love Nirvana and all and Kurt Cobain is very talented but he had more to offer than just that album. I agree that "You'd Prefer an Astronaut" should be in the top 100 if not top 50 of the decade. Bands like Hum and Candlebox never got the recognition they deserved and if they had, they'd still be around making awesome music.

  • @SX1995able well, "loveless" usually has a place on the 'best 90s albums' lists. But yeah, there's tons of great music that never got the recognition it deserves. Would like to add Helmets "Betty" on the list. Grrrrreat album

  • one of the absolute best bands of the 90's. Hum always gives me chills.

  • Wooowww more people need to listen to this!!!!!!!!

  • probably the best record of my adolescence... still gives me goosebumps

every time y listen to it...

    (great tune dude.)
