  • OMG What hot french poomtang!

  • to smush48: Good question but let's look at this realistically... The shackles are supposedly solid silver and would render him powerless -- my question would be: HOW IN THE HELL DID THEY GET THE SHACKLES ON HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE??!! LOL

  • @1958marky

Probably while he was asleep in the daytime? He IS a vampire.

  • Poor Greta and poor messed up Mom. :(

  • thank u so much

  • Martita Hunt is superb as the Baroness.

  • VRmission38.....you just skoled me....u r good....

  • i realize that it's 1960, but couldn't he just turn into a wolf or a bat and slip right out of those shakles??????

  • @smush48 If the shackles are made of silver........well then he's not going anywhere. That's if they were following the legends.

  • she really is the female reinfield hahahaha....

  • where's CHRISTOPHER LEE?

  • Is Greta kind of a female Renfield? Because she turned crazy after the baron escaped. Would you like that, would you? Ehh? haha hahahahahaha.

  • This whole film would not have taken place if he killed her when she got near him...LOL

  • 30 minutes not one fang nor bride, nor breast....I love Hammer films but geeze

  • @eahazell Weird! This is my favorite vampire movie.....to each his own I guess!

  • @Oboedag It was okay, but after 1945..I kind of like to see fangs in my vamps...and with Hammer films you usually get some gratuatis tit. Not bad, but no not my favorite

  • Baron looks like Draco Malfoy!!!!!! Yay! A vampire Draco!!!

  • The opening Narraration explains that Dracula is dead but "his Disciples live-on...to spread the Cult and corrupt the world."

So, each woman the Baron transforms is an "offering"...a "bride" of Dracula...

  • is that dracula?

  • @princesskylah100

his disciple...Dracula comes back in the next film.

  • the lady is funny

  • omg!!! she freed a monster and now she thinks it was the servant girl who killed the old woman!! foooolish!! :-P but still an acceptable foolishness cause the servant girl did act kind of... ergh... crazy :-P with all the 'laughing'... :-P never believe handsome young men who pretend to be innocent... :-P

  • @Nigelene

Never believe handsome young men who pretend to be innocent? Someone sounds like a cynical man hater...

  • Muthah, come heyahhhh.

    No my son.

    MUTHA! Come heyahhhh . . .

    Perfect! :D

  • the music is a nice touch

  • I actually liked this a lot better than "Horror of Dracula". I think it's Hammer's best vampire film.

  • This film is 50 years old...wow..

  • Oh yeah, the way that one housekeeper laughs? Creepy. Almost like a female version of Dwight Frye's version of Renfield from the 1931 Dracula film, if that makes any sense.

  • I admit I had a huge crush on Yvonne Monlaur after seeing this movie. She had to be one of the most gorgeous actresses I'd ever seen, and still is.

  • Insolent women! You can find them almost everywhere.

  • Dude looks like Robert Pattinson. I guess that settles it - dude really IS the world's creepiest fucking vampire.

  • @ironychan Awww don't insult that old actor. Lol, sorry I'm no good at jokes:B

  • @ironychan The girl kinda looks like Kate Winslet in the Titanic.

  • LA belle scene de la delivrance du baron , et là les ravages vont commences , 1ere victime la MERE , pas de cadeau ! mais quel film sublime .

  • She asked the housekeeper was she mad, I would have said yes(chackling), and told her she was stupid.

  • How does he change his Trousers??.Quite a few things do not make sense but it's

very very good despite it's shortcomings.I have found you just have to "Suspend Disbelief" a little more and not view with such intense understanding.

  • Why didn't the old lady bring a cross with her?

  • Dracula loiro? novidade.

  • quel plaisir de ce faire mordre par ce charmant vampire , apres bonjour les degats

  • great actors...

  • (9:40) I really don't need an "I told you so" speech right now, Greta. I think undead in this chair, supped on by my own child is punishment enough for my dreadful parenting skills.

(9:19) AND if I weren't in the throws of metamorphosing into a vampire I WOULD blame you, Greta. How did he know I kept the key in my sock drawer, hmmmm, Greta? Hmmm? I didn't tell him.

  • @1MadWolf13 HAHAHAHAHAHA........Very well said...lol...

  • @99fruitbat Why thank you

  • The housekeepers laughing cackle is unrivaled.

  • Yeah...sounds really cracked.

  • @summerofmysmile Indeed! She is like a female Renfield.

  • les belles dents qui vont apparaitrent et voila comment ont fait des betises c'est l'amour qui veut ça .bon drink blood. raymond de marseille

  • i agree it is really creepy how he talks to his mother

  • The way the Baron talks to his mother before biting her is creepy.

    "Mother,come here."

    "No. No, my son."

    "Mother...Come here."

  • I thick Yvonne Monlaur is the most beautful girl in this movie ever.

  • Another young lady fooled by the charm of a handsome man only to find out hes evil!!! Quite literally evil......

Will the fairer sex ever learn??? : )

  • sounds like my marriage...lol

  • you know, this is the ONLY movie i have ever seen David Peel (the Baron Von Hottie) star in!

  • I must agree, he's a hottie!

  • Peel has a part as a Gestapo agent, along with Ferdy Mayne as a Nazi officer, and Ingrid Pitt as an Underground agent in the movie Where Eagles Dare, starring Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton.

It's the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark could only futily dream of being.

Peel was already in his forties when this movie was made. Later in the 19702 for at least a few days the FBI followed him, because with his long hair and wire framed glasses they thought he was John Lennon.

  • i wonder if he is still alive

  • That should be 1970's

David Peel died in 1981 at the age of 60.

  • This is one of my favourite Hammer films. Great atmosphere and art direction. Does anyone have further info on David Peel, as this was just about the first and last major part he played. Was Christopher Lee offered the part first, or turned it down?

  • He turned it down. And he played in the next film uttering nary a word. [Dracula: Prince of Darkness] He felt there really was no more that could be done with the role although he played in 4 more films after Prince of Darkness.

  • the david peel who was a musician and friend of lennon's is a different david peel, who apparently is still alive and performing. when i first heard of him i wondered myself if he was the same guy from this film

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I love you for uploading it x

  • she"s HOT!!!

  • She's very cute!
