  • p90x is easy you guys. When they say hard, they mean sticking with it. You can modify all the moves and get similar results, some people use bands, I personally, an overweight guy, uses the pullup bar but modify it with a chair out at a distance from me. i'm on my 5th week, my eating habits are Awesome, Drink lots and lots of water people. You can't do half this good stuff at a crappy gym. And you don't work the same muscle every day. its excellent.. BUY IT

  • People wondering what the hell is going on, the workout basically has you work out your midsection, while working other body parts at the same time. It's basically ab ripper x for an hour, with all the other workouts being implemented throughout the workout.

  • Nice Video. For everyone else, if you are doing this program and youve done this exercise then you know whats going on. if not it looks like non sense. Very nice but i would suggest that you pay more attention to form and use that mirror behind you because your lunge is way too high. Your thigh and calf should make a 90 degree angle not 135+.

  • There is a fitness test that you should take before doing p90x. It features simple workouts that you must be able to perform to determine if you are fit enough for the workouts.

  • p90x is build for people who are 10-20 pounds or less overweight, so they can rip those last few pounds off and get "ripped". These workouts don't work well for someone who's 50+++ pounds overweight.

  • you can still do these workouts if you are 50+ pounds overweight. there are a lot of people that are doing it. but i do think you are correct.

  • this is completely false. When I started this program I was 100lbs overweight. I am 54 days into it, and I have already lost 32lbs and 5 inches in my waist. Its totally false that "these workouts dont work well for someone who's 50+++ pounds overweight" that is just a cop out.

  • Well P90x representatives DO NOT recommend this regime for overweight to morbidly obese persons.

  • Not recommended doesn't mean you can't. P90X reps just don't want you to sue the company. As long as you know your limitations, this workout is doable for overweight people. I am "obese" and I have already completed a round of P90X with a lot of success.

  • You can modify any one of the moves and workouts. If you are that overweight you may not get to being "ripped" in the first round of P90x, but you'll shed most of the excessive weight and a second round can get you to that point.

  • @MasTerbLurr I'm about 40 pounds overweight and I've lost 12 pounds this month doing p90x. I don't know where you got your info, but it works for anybody. It take a long time for somebody really overweight to get used to it, but once you do it works.

  • @MasTerbLurr Actually I disagree. You can modify. If your in the market to Lose Weight Gain Muscle.. yes, p90x works. You just have to stick with it. I'm not planning on doing all this hardwork for 90 days and calling it quits. Most people give up after a month because they don't see results. Keep pushing play, drink your water, do your best, and forget the rest. you have to follow the program. This is p-Lifetime x for me, coming from an ex 42lbs overweight guy

  • @MasTerbLurr Even if you're 50 pounds or more overweight you can still do these workouts but you'll need to take longer to get used to the program. Either way with the amount of calories you're burning you're going to lose weight.

  • The theory behind Core Synergistics, is one you are working on that band that runs just beneath your pecs, down to just below your glutes, hence Core, by focusing on tightening that zone, you actually get a total area workout, not to mention by doing so you just make yourself more durable in the real world doing normal everyday stuff, picking things up, when you bend down you just dont use your arms and back and legs to pick it up, you use stomach muscles, back etc it basically covers all in one

  • Good job man! You're really maximizing your surface area. P90X is harcore! I just finished the 'Lean' program, so I pretty much just make up my own routine now. I'm crazy - because I really want to lose weight and feel better, I do two videos a day back to back, 5x a week. I do either Poly or Cardio, then I do muscle work. Gangster right? I make sure I rest a lot, intake protein and drink lots of recovery drink.

  • Yeah, the P90X recovery drink. Don't use it? It's a month supply of 'extreme nutrition' mix that you take within an hour of finishing a routine. It supposed to help build muscle 'ingrams' and just help your body recover from the workout so you can push play the next day. It really works for me, cuz I really push myself - I'm adjusting, but Plyo blasts my legs. I need to order more actually.

  • Hey 82DH - I've gone back to just doing one vid a day now, got a new job and everything. But yeah, when I was doing that, I'd just rest for a little bit, then bring it again! Plyo destroys my lower body, not my upper, so after a little rest, I relatively have no problem working on Shoulders and Arms, or Chest and Shoulders. Thanks for responding! Peace!
