  • As great bas Randy Moss is, every football fan on the planet would agree Jerry Rice is the greatest wide reciever of all time.

  • I am the great receiver of all time

  • the most physically talented player to ever play the game - he IS a hall of famer

  • @SmogonU He could of been the greatest of all time if he didn't retire.

  • Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver to ever play because of all the ridiculous numbers he put up. Most of his records Randy Moss never came close to catching. However, in terms of pure skill and potential, Moss was superior. He could easily have eclipsed most of Jerry Rice's records had he maintained the high level of play that he had displayed at times with Minnesota and New England. Unfortunately, he had too many disappointing years and off-the-field issues to ever see what he was capable of.

  • @1schleich1

Jerry Rice,"He could have been the best..."

  • LOL longevity is overrated? your arguement is done.

  • man he has some long legs

  • AWESOME Receiver! But prolly #2 all time.

    JERRY RICE

    1,549 receptions

    22,895 receiving yards

    208 Touchdowns

  • @dublshotar Jerry Rice played 14 seasons of his 21 year career with a Hall of Fame QB (Montana and Young) or an MVP QB (Gannon) or both (Montana Two Time MVP and Young Two Time MVP) while Randy Moss played only 2.25 seasons with a Hall of Fame QB (Brady) and 1.25 seasons with and MVP QB(Brady). Jerry Rice was a great WR made better by prolific QBs, Randy Moss was a prolific WR who made QBs great(Ex. Culpepper, Cunningham).

  • @33bynum Well, if we are getting down to the tiny details, then yes Randy played with Brady for 3.25 seasons, Brady was already easily on his way to the HOF. The numbers just dont lie though. And Moss is still behind Terrell Owens AND Jerry Rice in receptions, and reception yards, and tied with TO on TDs. My only knock on Moss (whom i idolized when i was growing up) is his lack ofwork ethic. Im just sayin, football is a numbers game, and Jerry Rice wins the numbers game by 3 miles.

  • @dublshotar Randy only played 2.25 seasons with Brady(Brady was hurt entire 08 season). TO has played two more seasons than Moss. Im saying that in Moss's time in the NFL he was the best WR in the game and of all time. Jerry Rice played 221 games for a Hall of Fame/MVP QB while Randy played only 39 for a Hall of Fame/MVP and 202 games in total. Also its not just about the numbers for who is the best examples-

  • @dublshotar Some examples- Favre is the all time leader in ever single passing statistic but does that make him better than Manning or Brady or Montana? What about Emmitt Smith he is the all time leader in touchdowns and yards but does that make him better than Jim Brown or Barry Sanders or Earl Cambell or Eric Dickerson?

Absolutly not. It means that they were good from an extremely long time but not the best ever. Favre 20 seasons, Smith 15 seasons. Montana 15 years, Sanders 10 seasons.

  • @33bynum What did Moss do last year with that HoF QB? LMFAO such a laughing stock last year. So players are penalized for playing longer?? WTF?? Horrible examples btw..

  • @Magic32Rice80 He had 3 TDs in 4 games with Brady and 2 TDs with Favre in 4 games so thats a better rate than Rice. Drop all premade knowlege on the subject and think about it like Im saying and you will see why he is better. Not to mention Rices rookie season he had 3 TDs when Randy had 17. Rice had the "LMFAO WTF Horrible" season.

  • @33bynum LMFAO so rookie season defines a whole career? LOL! lay off the meth.

Moss - Out of a job at age 34.

Rice - Over 1200 yds at Age 40.

LOL looks like Moss should have laid off the pot.

  • @Magic32Rice80 Your not actually listening to what Im saying. And neither do most people. Jerry Rice was insane but in his prime he was not as good as Randy Moss. His stats are just so much higher because he played 101 games more than Randy and 185 more games under a Hall of Fame or MVP QB. Im honestly disappointed more people dont just take a step back and look at the systems they were in and the QB and team talent around them.

  • @33bynum Again I guess players are penalized for playing longer? Anyway you talk about talent around them, what about Cris Carter? Ever heard of him? Moss's rookie year he had 12 TDs and more receptions then Moss... How about after that 23 TD seasons in the playoffs... Jags - 1 Rec for 14 yards, Pats win 31-20 Chargers - 1 Rec for 18 yards, Pats win 21-12

Then in SB 42, Welker outperforms Moss. Rice never got outperformed on the big stage.. even that one against the Raiders.

  • @Magic32Rice80 Im not looking at who played longer if you actually are listening Im saying Moss was better in his prime than Rice and that Rices numbers are inflated because of the QB talent around him. If Moss played as many games as Rice with a Hall of Fame or MVP QB then we would be looking at this differently. Also you can not say that Rich Gannon was not good in 2001 he was MVP of the league. But in the end I would not expect anything else from a "Rice" oldschool fan who ignores arguments

  • @33bynum i wish Moss had better quarterbacks to work with. Unfortunately Cullpepper and Farve are the best he ever got (or will get)

  • @33bynum Gannon lol got owned by the Bucs not Jerry though.. LOL why is Moss done? No one wants Moss? LOL washed up Moss.

Here is something to look at... Montana - No seasons over 4000 yards passing... KERRY COLLINS has more passing yards lol why is this? Because of the eras, today launching yourself at a receiver = penalty, fine, and ejection. LMFAO

  • @33bynum oh yeah this was perfected legal in Rice's era too:

    watch?v=PZNZkdvxGmQ

today? 15 yard penalty LMFAO that is why I can't take people on ESPN seriously when they compare Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, etc to Rice/Swann/Monk etc

  • @Magic32Rice80 Actually many teams have tried to acquire Moss but he said he would only come back to the Patriots. One reason Gannon got owned was because they were playing against Gruden who was the head coach of the Raiders the year before so he knew everything about the system and Gannon. And are you actually "Laughing Your Fucking Ass Off"? Just take a step back and look at the talent throwing the ball. You are completely ignoring every argument I put out there and give uneducated responses.

  • @33bynum Yes I LMFAO at your comments, you say I ignore your comments while you ignore mine like with Cris Carter/Welker those 2 playoff games with 1 reception each after that 23 td season..

  • @Magic32Rice80 Yeah ok Moss didnt have the post season success as Rice. Your ignoring the fact that Rice played 303 games and 221 games for a Hall of Fame or MVP QB when Moss played 202 games in his career and 39 for a Hall of Fame QB.

  • @33bynum oh here we go again discrediting longevity. Yep apparantly you have to stop playing after 202 games I guess. Rice was a big reason why SY is in the Hall. Young wasn't so hot in Tampa and he was considered a bit of a choke artist fumbling and throwing INTs to end seasons against Dallas, etc. Like YOU ignored I brought up how Montana never passed for over 4k yards in a season. but I guess a bum can excel with Montana and Young though right?

  • @Magic32Rice80 Im not saying its not about longevity all Im saying Rices stats are inflated because he played a much longer time just like Favre and Emmitt Smith. Do you think they are the best ever at their position? I mean if you do they your a lost cause. Just take some time to look at what Im saying. If Randy played with Hall of Fame QBs his entire career his stats would be better. So put him in the same exact system and team I think Randy would have had better numbers.

  • @33bynum You can make cases for both of those players. However my knock and a lot of other people's knock on Favre is that he was a choke artist no doubt. Rice was the complete opposite. Emmitt only holds one rushing record while Rice OWNS the record book.

Like I said before those are terrible examples.. whats next?? "Bruce Smith has more sacks than Reggie White, is he better?" "Kerry Collins has more passing yards than Joe Montana, is he better??

  • @Magic32Rice80 No one with any football knowledge thinks that Smith is the best or Favre even thought Emmitt has the most yards and TDs and carries. Favre has yards completions tds. But your providing great examples because obviously Collins is not better than Montana and obviously Bruce Smith is not as good as Reggie White. They have better numbers because they played longer careers. Just like Rice. Moss was better in his prime than Rice. Also I am "making a case" for Randy. Think about it.

  • @33bynum It's a good thing though when a player can play at a high level for so long but obviously you discredit that and apparently you think Rice should have ended his career after 202 career games smh..

  • @Magic32Rice80 Honestly listen to what your saying. What if someone caught 5 TDs 40 catches and 560 yards a year but played for 40 seasons. He would have every single record without having good seasons. Longevity is overrated. Moss was better in his prime Rice was almost as good but he just kept padding his stats by playing longer because he was in ridiculous shape and played until nobody wanted him and was forced to play for the Seahawks.

  • @33bynum LOL at you using the words "padding his stats" at Rice.. Check this out:

Rice - 5 TDs in 1990 vs the Falcons in a 45-35 game

Moss - 4 TDs in 2007 vs the bum ass Bills in a 56-10 game

LOL so who is the statpadder? LOL I'm still laughing at those 18*-1 Pats. As well as that '98 Vikings team..

  • @Magic32Rice80 Literally you might be the most immature arguers I have ever argued with. Im disappointed that people will believe anything they hear without looking at it themselfs. I am done with this because you are too uneducated in just listening to what people have to say.

  • @33bynum I am seriously laughing my ass off at all your posts, I should just do a reaction video... to your comments! You sould like a broken record just repeating the same shit.

    Next..

  • @Magic32Rice80

Yea and Moss caught all them 4 TDs in the first half. He could've easily caught 5 maybe even 6 if he played the whole game cause I believe they rested him in that game.

  • @33bynum with the Raiders vs the Buccaneers* His "great" QB threw 5 picks in that one too.

  • desean beat his 40 yard dash and hes a wr

  • thank u sir for this video Im the biggest Moss fan there is

  • he just smoked revis at the end there!

  • what hes better than jerry rice smh

  • greatest receiver to ever play??? ever heard of Jerry Rice???

  • Randy Moss won the 1992 and 1993 AAA state title in WV with the football team and the 1994 AAA state basketball title with teammate Jason "White Chocolate" Williams. DuPont was amazing at sports those three years.

  • 10:54 haha rex ryan how does it feel to little defense tortured

  • 8:21 haha omg thumbs up if he reminds you of Juwanna man. haha truly the best wr of all time.

  • great video bro he really is the best receiver ever

  • randy ran a 4.25 40, with 41 and 46 inch vertical leaps at pro day, and a failed drug test.

  • @excel621 failed drug test at his pro day? I don't remember that... Link? Although rumors were floating around that the reason he skipped the combine was to avoid the drug test.

  • yeah i screwed up it wasn't the official NFL combine it was a different one but the scores were still official

  • Those numbers are made up, Randy Moss didn't attend the combine.

  • he's currently one of the worst receivers but he was such a beast before he was a crybaby

  • @kenz1031 That isn't correct at all. A deep threat isn't going to be successful on a team with such a putrid offensive line as the Vikings, and he still had 5 TDs in the first half of the season. With the right team he can still be a success.

  • @yfz01 hmm then why did the pats release him especially when they had one of the best offenses in the nfl this year. He's one of the best of all time but right now he's just a jerk.

  • @kenz1031 If you looked it up, it's because Randy Moss ASKED to be traded. He wasn't released. Brad Childress released him, Childress is also an idiot...

  • @yfz01 well why did he ask to be traded? you can't get any better than the pats' organization. there was no reason to be asked to be traded from the pats

  • @kenz1031 it was a terrible decision - and i'm sure he realizes that now! He asked to be traded because he thought he deserved to get a new contract and he wasn't going to get it in New England.
