@JasonTongRulz Bassoon and oboe were technically a combined family i thought, Bassoon and Contrabassoon being the bass intruments of the oboe family, but i might be mistaken.

I love this musically sensitive and intelligent approach to the instrument. The level of refinement is good to hear. Pardon what I hope is not a dumb questions,but, is this a Mollenhauer or Heckel Contra? The tone is dark and centered while still substantially vibrant.Thanks for such a fine demonstration, more young players should strive for this kind of approach to the Contra.

You realize Contrabass Clarinet literature is so hard to come by, and the Contrabassoon is a lot more agile than the Clarinet is? This guy did all the wrong excerpts. He was supposed to have done Beethoven 5 and the FIRST movement of Brahms 3, not the last. Though the ones he did will probably help, nobody will be auditioning with them.

HELL YA...playing bassoon for seven years ad i had the privilege of playing on Fox's secret 5 hole contra haha...love it! ive been waiting for bassoon/contra masterclass for a few weeks...and i was not disappointed!
