  • Also of interest is the rumoured underground cities in S. America and elsewhere in the world. Explorers claim to have seen green lighting in these places. The green lighting is conducive to maintaining health in the underground environment. CFL's are of a frequency that damages retinal cells, I presume. The impossibly high tech of the ancient Atlanteans is still around, but greed comes before need today. This ancient technology is slowly coming back to us.

  • What's to explain? The Edison bulb produces enough heat to melt thin plastic, or burn your skin, kids' skin, etc.,whereas the CFL produces little heat. LED's will save the day when the price comes down. Incidentally, the 'ancients' had perpetual lights.

Somehow they synthesized crystals that retained photons and shined for 1000's of yrs. When they uncovered the tomb of Ciceros' daughter, they found a perpetual light at her feet. It is estimated the light shone for 1900 yrs.

  • @seapeddler I just (gently) grabbed one of the CFL's in one of my light fixtures. Seemed awfully hot to me. I do agree that once the price comes down the LED lights are the way to go. However, they still have all of the junk hanging off of them that consume energy as they are being built.

I am certainly not against new technology by any means. What I am against is being forced to use that technology and having other options legislated away from me by the government.

  • @capriracer351 Sort of like the 'Right to Repair' legistation. Imagine if everyone was required by law to have their car repaired in a 'certified' garage?

I just grabbed the CFL in my fixture and yes, it seems rather hot, but don't know if it is hotter than the incandescent. If all the circuitry was micro-miniaturized, the bulbs would not be that bad. But the mercury content is a step back. But consider all the haz-mat suits they will sell. How many people in the US will become HazMat techs?

  • @capriracer351 At a racetrack there are at least 6 guys with fire extinguishers ready to 'help.. And all that's needed is a tank of inert gas that automatically skunks the gas in the event of a collision. No fire, no explosion. But this would upset people who want to see fires. One could cite so many examples of the same. "Money is the root of all evil". Bible always wins.

Oh, have you tried out the EZ EFI system , or seen it in action?

  • @seapeddler nobody should have to be FORCED to use cfls or leds. if cfls or leds were so superior, government would not be FORCING it on us. they force these shit bulbs on us cuz they know that more ppl LIKE ME will always prefer edison bulbs. i dont know about u but i am proud of my home and i will not make my house look like the inside of an office or a hospital because of a MYTH that edison bulbs are responsible for climate change. Only a religious nut case believes in such garbage.

  • @noreaga12326 Certainly I like edison bulbs myself. All I mentioned is that ancient civilizations had perpetual lights made of complex synthesized crystals. They shine for thousands of yrs. In a hospital OR you don't want incandescent bulbs because of oxygen igniting. So, OR's use LED's almost exclusively because of superior light output, low energy requirements and safety.

  • @seapeddler pardon me if it seemed as if i was hard on u on my last post. im just sick of all these eco nut cases CLAIMING that something is good when it really isnt. For example, as far as CFLs, they're SUPPOSE to last a long time and most of them dont last even last a year. they also CLAIM that cfls are improving. Thats also bull shit. They look just as horrible as they did when they 1st came out. Thankfully, not all incandescents are included in the ban. so it wont be as bad as some think.

  • @noreaga12326 It appears that millions of incandescents are produced with weak filaments so they burn out quickly. I ran individual wires from a junction box to 3 Noma potlights in my bathroom. I haven't changed the bulbs in over 12 yrs. The extra length of wire acts as a resistor and prevents filament shock when switched on. Run an experiment with CFL's using separate wires from the junction. In parallel, I think they receice a voltage jolt as well, which damages the circuit.

  • @noreaga12326 I truly doubt that gov't is forcing anything on anyone. They are using bulbs that conserve energy. Fridges and stoves, etc. have an energy rating. This is to save on electrical bills. Christ, the gov't does not dictate which spectral class of Sun we have shining on us. There are limits you know. Is a galaxy CFL LED, or incandescent? I'm not an expert you know. So be kind.

  • @capriracer351 im with u on that. many ppl have been saying that cfls and leds will improve. To me, they still look as shitty as when they 1st appeared. in my view, edison bulbs will ALWAYS have nicer light quality than cfls and leds, No matter how hard they try improving on these shitty energy efficient bulbs. If i were u, i'd stock up. And i say fuck all these eco morons trying to force us to use these ugly chiniese bulbs. they're ugly, and gloomy looking.
