I spent my last year in the Air Force stationed at McGuire, and was discharged in September of 1967, the month the C-141 was made operational. Prior to that, we mostly had C-130's and an occasional C-124. What I really enjoyed at McGuire was being able to fly the Aero Club's T-34 to visit the Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio, and then to Logan International in Boston to visit relatives. Those were the fun days of my 5 years in the Air Force.
