i have one from ebay. it's the manly pallette i think. it's got more colors and i really like it but i usually have to end up getting them wet (which surprisingly doesn't ruin them!) to have them be bright

Do you or have you ever used coastal scents on your clients? Sometimes your better off spending the extra money for a better finished product. Are the coastal scents eyelashes very powdery? Are they comparable to MAC?

yes, I have used the palette during prom season. Depending on what the clients requested. Some are particular and will ask for certain brands. Of course you charge appropriately as well. Most proms, teens cannot afford high rates for makeup service, so this is when I adjust to what they can pay, and use less expensive yet effective products like the CS palettes.

I wipe it on a tissue everytime I use and before i dip back into the eyeshadow. The bristles can pick up some oils from your lid and that can cause crusting on the eyeshadow. So I usually make a habit of wiping the brush everytime it touches my lid.
how do you get the other eye to look similar to the finished eye? because every time i "wing" one eye. the second eye i do the "wing" is always too thick or too thin. any advice?

hii I have a question, how come you use a fluffy round brush to apply your eyeshadow? Wouldn't a brush shaped more like the mac239 give you better colour payoff? or is it because you want a well blended or sheer color look?

hey Aaris - thes palettes have an ingredients list - compared to others that Ive seen that doesnt. And it doesnt contain lead. Yeah, Id be afraid too, thats why I advise people to really be careful specially ordering from EBay and such.

natural lighting is deffinately the best (outside/sun). Avoid having the light source behind you. Try to have it in front of you w/o blinding you. I usually stand infront of my bedroom window, the sun doesn't shine directly into it, but it's light enough that I see every detail and color on my face.

Hi Koren, great vid! Can you do a video on doing different eyeliners on yourself! I struggle with doing my own eyes, good at other people's but not with mine. Maybe you could do a pencil look, how thick to make a line for certain looks, winged out look and liquid liner and that cant remember what you call it, the one you add water too and apply, yep cake liner, just came to me. It's the palette from Coastal Scents. I wanted to order one, but they're out of stock. Those palettes must have sold like hotcakes! It's 88 colors on one palatte.
hey eleven - I didn not notice that at all - probably the colors I chose in this look all have creamy consistency. I didnt experience any great deal of fall-offs either.
Primer acts as a base for the shadow. It goes on first to prevent fallout and loss of color over time. The shadow sticks to the primer and stays colorful throughout the day.
Urban Decay Primer Potion is the best one on the market. I think it's 12 dollars. if you are looking even cheaper than that, you could always buy some very inexpensive concealer or creamy eyeshadow in the color of your preference to use on your eyelid.
UDPP is $16 USD and i'm gonna have to say that its not THE best, but one of the best. Two Faced Eyeshadow Insurance is just as good if not better. If you have dry skin, Two faced is great, but oily lids will benefit from UDPP..

hey almmaa - its surprisingly pretty good, definitely something to consider as an alternative. It did not crease on me. I still have to try it on other products. I only had it for a week or so and havent really had the chance toplay with it.
Can anyone tell me how they prefer this over high end/name brands? Just wondering cause I want to buy this, but want to get the bang for my buck, if you know what I mean...
I've had the palette for a couple months, and I think it's a great value. I still love my high end products, but it's nice to have such a huge color choice all in one place, and most of the colors have good pigmentation.

hey soeccentric - it feels oily cuz of the methicone and dimethecone. But somehow, it goes away once you apply the powder eyeshadow. It doesnt feel as oily.
Koren, I bought the eye-poxy and it's not the same consistent like yours. It's more grainy & clumpy like cottage cheese. Hard to apply too. What should I do to make it a little liquidy? Do you have anything in mind? I asked coz i know you know everything. Thank you.
hey mcanisthal - hmmm not sure whats going on there. Mine is not climpy and applies on smoothly. Then again, the heat could be a culprit. Its been warm here where I am. Try this... just warm in a little using a hair dryer - just really gently and quickly, and see if the texture change a little.

I've noticed that almost ALL the colors are super pigmented...EXCEPT for the yellows. They seem to come out looking pretty much like I used a highlighter on my lid.

It's the palette from Coastal Scents. I wanted to order one, but they're out of stock. Those palettes must have sold like hotcakes! It's 88 colors on one palatte.

hey eleven - I didn not notice that at all - probably the colors I chose in this look all have creamy consistency. I didnt experience any great deal of fall-offs either.

A few questions about eye primer - what exactly does it do? Where can I find some for cheap? And do you use it before every look you do?

Primer acts as a base for the shadow. It goes on first to prevent fallout and loss of color over time. The shadow sticks to the primer and stays colorful throughout the day.
Urban Decay Primer Potion is the best one on the market. I think it's 12 dollars. if you are looking even cheaper than that, you could always buy some very inexpensive concealer or creamy eyeshadow in the color of your preference to use on your eyelid.

UDPP is $16 USD and i'm gonna have to say that its not THE best, but one of the best. Two Faced Eyeshadow Insurance is just as good if not better. If you have dry skin, Two faced is great, but oily lids will benefit from UDPP..

I bought that pallett and I noticed some of the colors dont have good color payoff. Most of them are ok though.

This palette is worth getting, I've had mine for a while now and I use every color, most of the colors are highly pigmented. Check out my slideshow, I used some of the colors there.

hey pooj - I used the Round Crease brush for the placement of the black e/s. Its a Coastal brush.

hey almmaa - its surprisingly pretty good, definitely something to consider as an alternative. It did not crease on me. I still have to try it on other products. I only had it for a week or so and havent really had the chance toplay with it.

I've had the palette for a couple months, and I think it's a great value. I still love my high end products, but it's nice to have such a huge color choice all in one place, and most of the colors have good pigmentation.

Hi Koren great tutorial I love coastel scents stuff :) I have a quick question for you, I have the poxy primer as well and it's very oily did you mix it with some water before you applied it to your eyes? Thanks a ton :)

hey soeccentric - it feels oily cuz of the methicone and dimethecone. But somehow, it goes away once you apply the powder eyeshadow. It doesnt feel as oily.

Koren, I bought the eye-poxy and it's not the same consistent like yours. It's more grainy & clumpy like cottage cheese. Hard to apply too. What should I do to make it a little liquidy? Do you have anything in mind? I asked coz i know you know everything. Thank you.

hey mcanisthal - hmmm not sure whats going on there. Mine is not climpy and applies on smoothly. Then again, the heat could be a culprit. Its been warm here where I am. Try this... just warm in a little using a hair dryer - just really gently and quickly, and see if the texture change a little.

I've noticed that almost ALL the colors are super pigmented...EXCEPT for the yellows. They seem to come out looking pretty much like I used a highlighter on my lid.

Thanks for posting this Enkore! I'm super tempted to get this palette... I also saw the new 28 color Shimmer palette... I wonder how that compares. It looks like it has some great colors. I wonder if they're just as pigmented as the 88 color... Great fun look!
