@Hridgemont4 umm ford didn't go broke and didn't need a hand out and as far as imports go toyota and honda suck my kia kicks their ass just so you know i own a 91 f150 with 291k+ miles only put a alternator on it runs like new, a 98 chevy caviler 194k+ miles runs like new never touched had an accord wore out at 100k a toyota avalon 3k in repairs b4 its paid off 99 kia sportage traded at 217k with no problems but all get or got similar mpg except truck

SHO's rule I'd buy another anyday I had Taurus's all my life and a few SHO's (still have those!) SHO's are still surprisingly quick and very peppy, and can easily go over 400,000miles, I've seen more than a few.

I have a 1999 Ford Taurus SE with DOHC(came with the car) and I raced a Saab 9-3(with turbo) and beat it... I raced a a VW jetta VR6 that was modified and beat it... I raced my friends mustang and i can keep up with it.NOW. You tell me, isn't the SHO waaaay faster than the SE?? Stupid ricers and your 4 bangers. A stock SHO (gen1 and gen2)rips apart most stock high end cars these days. Some 13 sec cars can't even keep up with a SHO on the high end. Fact: BMW M3 does not pull on a SHO from a 60+ roll, it is a dead even race (it's all about the jesus gear).

If you want to talk about good 4 cyls, then lets bring back the Talon TSI AWD! Talons own the road end of story.

All Ford has to do to bring the SHO back is take a Mazda Speed6 AWD 6 speed and up the boost in the turbo then re-badge it with some SHO badges like they did in the mid 90s with the Ford Probes.

macaddict3032 just because an engine has a Ford emblem stamped on it doesn't always mean it was built by Ford. Example the original SHO engine from 89-95 has a Ford emblem stamped on the back tank, but it was built by Yamaha, the transmission was built by Mazda, the alternator was built by Mitsubishi. Check your Probe facts before you speak you can find them over on probetalk ....com.

Actually the SHO is still more technically advanced then most mass production cars... my v8 sho, DOHC, coil over plug, secondary intake runners... my 2004 v6 tiburon doesnt even have coil over plug or secondary intakes...and BTW, the SHO has a yamaha engine... Jap v8 which was one of the few DOHC v8s made till years later.. id rather have a high tech v6 or v8 then a turbo 4cyl, just for the sound alone.... "theres no replacement for displacement"

The price of admission for fast four door sedans is WAY UP! I like my SHOs and everything...Truth is I WANT one of those 6 speed AWD Infiniti G35's. Ford blew an excellent opportunity by listening to busters that begged for auto transmissions and NEVER bought the car. The 3rd Gen should have had AWD, larger bore and a manual trans. They would have never stopped making them in the first place. They would have been selling them.

A S2000 IS A 120 hp /LITER INLINE 4 and if you need a cobra which is a modded v8 or the one with a SC to beat a inline is pretty sad.. but i bet if i turbo my s2000 u lil snake aint got a ahcnace bro..

Piece of crap? When it debuted, it rivaled the BMW 5 series in nearly every category. Ford was just too busy finding every last dick in the universe to suck in the past 15 years so now they have to play catch up with every other import company.
