  • Loved it!

  • Nice performance...I hate Radiohead.

  • I love your style! I hope to see your performance some time. Do you live in the States?

  • Strangely creative and created correctly to command attention to originality. Beautiful.

  • EXELENT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great job ..! i love ... =D

  • This is so beautiful.

  • One of the most beautiful aspects of fusion/tribal fusion is that there are really no "rules". Every piece depicts each dancer/artist's unique talent and spirit that is completely indigenous to them, telling a story with every performance. This is an incredible and powerful piece. Jodi Waseca is truly an epitome of talent and beauty.

  • Fusion de butoh, danza contemporánea y muy poco bellydance en realidad pero está bueno el performance como expresión artística.... y radiohead genial!

  • I like stuff out of the norm like this. It's very a cool and interesting performing arts piece.

  • At first I was all "oooo pointe shoes!" and thought there would be a neat integration. I'm disappointed. But the thing here is, untrained feet. It looked uncomfortable. Maybe that was the point of the performance - disjointed and choppy feeling and I get that. But this could have been executed without pointe shoes. The feet were not over the box. The shoes weren't broken in. While on pointe, the feet/ankles/legs weren't straight giving the most support. All this can cause serious injuries.

  • @strawberry6703 This was very interesting performance art piece. One should never be that subjective when it comes to performances at events. I personally liked this performance piece. It's something out of the norm, and gives Tribal Fest a break from the norm.

By the way, I took ballet lessons when I was young, understandabe how you feel about about the technique, or from what you said, lack of technique, however, like I said, it's of the norm.

  • wtf is this????

  • @razorbladecandy666 It's called awesomeness. Very creative performance.

  • Good fusion but I have to agree it isn't Bellydance x

  • @phonemonkey : they don't! Ballerina's do!

  • ...freak!!! I'll have night mare tho~ yeah, its dramatic and unusual :)

  • gooooooooooooood one!

  • This is very similar to my personal style of belly dance. =)

  • @iamspecial14 this is really not belly dancing...you know that right?

  • @drillteam87 lol I am aware I was just saying that sometimes belly dancers DO wear pointe shoes. I wasn't saying this was a belly dance performance. Take a chill pill. I'm a belly dancer. I know what I'm talking about. Sometimes belly dancers do wear pointe shoes to add a little something to their performance, to make their dance unique.

  • @iamspecial14 Really? I've never heard of that.... I'll have to start looking for it now. Sounds interesting!

  • @MachaMongRuad mhmm! =) I believe one of the belly dance superstars dances on pointe with her belly dance but I don't remember her name. I've seen a video of one of her performances, though and my dance teacher met her.

  • @phonemonkey we usually don't, but some do to add an extra somethin' somethin' to their performance.

  • ESPECTACULAR

  • Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon hahaha love Radiohead.

  • wbat's the song

  • @HighonBoots

song: Everything in it's Right Place by Radiohead, Esther's by Amon Tobin

  • Great and completely amazing "fusion/theatrical" dancing but PLEASE do NOT call this bellydance! thank you

  • that was so amazing and theatrical! beautiful piece.

  • the great thing about wearing a mask or painting your face all over is that no one is staring at a pretty bellydancer and all her drag. you actually watch the movement taking place! awesome girl, love ya!

  • everything in its right place is right i freakin love radiohead and this song and well you for dancing to it !!!! thank you thank you <3<3<3

  • Jodi... this was AMAZING! 1st time that I see you dance, and you really fascinated me... you body languaje, your expression, the way you applied all this tecniques to create a unique piece... you inspire me girl!

  • I'm embarrassed to use that tired old word for such an amazing, innovative, incredible, artistic, talented performance, but that was AWESOME!

  • she portrays such a beautiful, fragile creature

  • You are very gifted. I COULD NOT LOOK AWAY!!!...XX J.

  • You are amazingly gifted..... I COULD NOT LOOK AWAY....XX J.

  • This is very extraordinary. Great, great, great! =)

  • I absolutely loved watching this performance. Great job Jodi! I hope to see you perform again at next year's TF!

  • Sooo Awesome! You are evergrowing as an Artist Jodi! so happy that you share this with the world. Bless your life ****

  • HijouHijou...good point. I only tagged it bellydance as it was performed at a bellydance fest...thanks for your comment!!!

  • WOW!

  • Wow. That was beautiful, I really didn't know what to expect. I'm going to check out your other videos, because this was really incredible. What you expressed with your dance was like remembering a dream. I love when I see a work of art that I really connect with. Just a question though, do you really think the "belly dance" tag is appropriate to this? I would just consider this modern or interpretive dance.

  • Jodi, you are full of creative beauty. You never fail to amaze me! Love you. N
