If any of the bullets hit the crankshaft they wouldn't have penetrated all the way through. That dinky block still has a steel crankshaft. It would have been nice to see the other side of the mower in the video though.

Common knowledge? Gas does not explode, fuel vapor trapped in a tank could possibly explode if under the correct conditions. How do I know this? Because I was a fuel systems mechanic for 10 years on airplanes. We used to put our cigarettes out in buckets of jet fuel with ZERO problem. You could throw a cigarette in that mower gas tank and the worst thing that would happen is that it would just catch fire, NOT explode.

It seems he wasn't wearing any hearing protection. Shooting such a canon without ear plugs can get you deaf or even worse, you can get tinnitus for the rest of your life. I know a guy who shot an AR-15 without ear plugs a few years ago, and his ears are ringing until today.

At this moment I was not wearing ear plugs and the shot nearly blasted may eardrums. I got tinnitus for just a few minutes. But some people can stay with their ears ringing forever, like many soldiers who come from war. Tinnitus and deafness are now a major problem in the US military. When shooting, ALWAYS wear ear protection.
