  • i remember they had massive adverts on the sides of busses reading, 'There's joose loose on this boose!'

Damn it, i miss the 90s!

  • This is soo funny!

  • I've been looking for this commercial for 10 years! It used to come on at the same time every day on the same channel, I would flick to it just to watch this. Boy that takes me back!

  • Ah the Scottish acid craze of the 1990s.

  • Wine gums are actually gross...

  • Am i high ?

  • @styPro66 Is that how you talk, then?

  • @CockneyRebel1979 No, I'm afraid not xD Some people in Scotland DO sound like that though o.O

  • @styPro66 What Scottish accent is that supposed to be, anyway?

  • @CockneyRebel1979 ...very Scottish

  • Love this advert.

  • This is how Scottish folk are.

  • Miracle of English food, unfindable in France. When I was in England for holidays I bought one pack a day.

  • When me and my father were on holiday in Cornwall, we passed a place called Burncoose several times, and my father made a joke, he said, "Theres a moose and a goose loose in Burncoose."

  • @LordHarris1983 No I think you'll find it is from 1991. It may have been re-used later, but it's definitely from 1991.

  • @temptationfeeder Yeah and it's still an epic advert, better than most today

  • the first time i saw this i thought it said oh shoot there is juice loose and a bootless moose! lol

  • HOOTSMAN THURRS JOOSE LOOSE ABOOT THIS HOOSE lmfao xD im norn irish and my friend talks like that i always get her to say it xD

  • 0:21 Thumbs up if you clicked here to the best bit !

  • I remember years and years ago there was a comedy sketch based on this. It involved Hitler dancing around like this then stops to say: "There's Jews loose? In meine hoose?" Really wish I could remember where I saw it from.

  • @MechGnome Sounds like it could have been something by Spike Milligan. I may be wrong though.

  • When i was a kid roughly about 2 or 3, i used to run up to the tv when it was on and dancing :P xx

  • This is actually better than I remember!

  • hahaha look at that silly scotsman sharing things, what an idiot!

  • Love it. :D

  • i've just realised this is a spoof of the Evil dead 2 scene. Brilliant!

  • @TheTBaron Aye. All Ash had to do was carry a packet of Maynards Wine Gums.

  • @TheTBaron this add was out in the mid 90's

  • Great advert! Reminds me of that video for George Harrison's 'I Got My Mind Set On You' (which I think was done by Jim Henson)

  • I'm American, and watching this made me say what the fuck.

  • love this

  • Lord Rockingham XII FTW!

  • wtf?

well good to see the freak business still going..

Somebody put on some Blur... actually, Blur suck, put some Nirvana or some Smashing Pumpkins on :D

This advert was probably one of the low points in the 90's tbh :P unless ur talking about adverts, then it's right up there... but it's also shallow and vague... stupid, prejudice... sure I didn't have opinions like htis when I was 5 lol

  • he sounds like he is joking on one of them wine gums got stuck in his throught

  • @99ikeacock *choking

  • Marge Simpson "This is the most exciting scandal, since the Juice was on the Loose".....Lisa Simpson "The Juice is still on the loose"....Marge "NNNAAARRRGGGHH"!!!!!!

  • my mother used to love this advert she'd hum it wherever we went and end it with 'there's juice loose', ah, memories

  • man this is memories.

  • moose loose aboot this hoose

  • As a Scot - I love this advert!! Its not meant to be taken seriously! Great fun.

  • I wish I could have 1 but the orthadontist wont let me for dental reasons

  • hoots mon

  • theres a moose, loose aboot this hoose.

  • I do not understaaaaand. o_o

  • is this seriously from 1991? Wow, feels like yesterday. Love this advert!

  • I dont see how scottish people like myself could be offended this is such a funny advert!!

  • Ha, Ha, look at the bagpipes dancing away!

  • Oh come on! I'm Scottish and I don't find this offensive at all! In fact, it's quite funny! :P

  • @PaulAnt2008 At last, somone wi a sence o humor

  • God, I remember this! :D

  • I remember this and it still makes me laugh. It does make me a bit sad though cos that old guy is more than likely to be dead now. I would love to know who the actor was.

  • @ashemaria16 Actor was Alan Barton-not the singer from "Smokie" -may still be alive ....

  • 15 people failed to set the juice loose.

  • I WANT THIS SONG ON MY IPOD!

    what t called? o:

  • @sandran17 It's called "Hoots Mon", but this version was recorded particularly for this advert, it seems. The original is by Lord Rockingham's XI - or at least they certainly did the most famous version of it (other than this ad).

  • @sandran17 "Hoots Mon" by Lord Rockingham IV (? Check band name- search for Hoots Mon and you'll find it) :)

  • @sandran17 Hoots Mon (Lord Rockingham)

  • The song and the dancing bagpipes really made this ad

  • Who on earth would find this offensive? It's hilarious!

  • As far as wine gums adverts are concerned, this is a classic :D

  • I cant believe you got "TO SET THE JUICE . . LOOSEE!!!!"

  • Alright, I'm fed up with recieving abusive PMs from idiots with nothing better to do with their sad little lives.Let me just state for the record that my granny is dead and is not Scottish,I do not get offended by dancing bagpipes and I do not think Youtube should ban this video.Figured it out yet?IT. WAS. A. JOKE. Jeez, surely anyone with half a brain could figure it out by looking at the irrelevant tone.Obviously I credited the Youtube community with too much intelligence. That's it, carry on...

  • So if Maynards are on something wired for the 2010 advert, then WTF were they on back in thr 90's with this advert?? Still one of the best Adverts about.

"Hoots mon, theres Juice looose aboou this hoouse!" aaaaahhhh happy old memories, why they had to remove this advert I don't know!!

  • Hoots man! There's juice loose about this hoose!

I remember this advert fom my childhood. Whoever said it was offensive is an idiot. It's nothing short of awesome. Deal with it and stop complaining.

  • im scottish from the highlands and think this is funny as feck... some people need to lighten up man

  • the NEW Maynards wine gum adverts are terrible, love this one tho

  • i fucking love it

  • So THIS is where the concept for the new Maynards ad came from! But the moose looks far less scary than in the new ad!

  • @MysteryEzekude

I actually find this moose scarier lol

  • I was terrified of this ad as a kid. But not now, though.

BTW, I'm Scottish and I think it's hilarious.

  • Racist ad!

  • what the hell is he saying at the start ?? something something juice, loose about this house

  • @TheFinderBinder "hoots mon theres jooce loose aboot this hoose". No idea what hoots mon means lol, we'll have to look up scottish slang maybe.

  • @Tornfromreality 'Hey man, there is juice loose about this house'

  • I love the clapping nessie and the dancing bagpipes

  • bloody hellfire !! mary whitehouse is alive and kicking !!

  • Ok............

  • I think @anxresi is having you all on LOL. I doubt his granny called the police at all. I love this.

  • @rehanasvideos FINALLY!! Someone gets it..

  • Comment removed

  • @jimmyrich1 no, it was definitely about 1991. We're just getting old! haha

  • @temptationfeeder that sucks!

  • @temptationfeeder nah is saw this as a when i was little now i'm 13

  • @jimmyrich1 - I remember specifically watching it in 1993 - so it is a pretty early ad for sure :)

  • JOOCE, LOOSE, ABOOT THIS HOOSE.

  • haha i sent this to my scotish ex and she called me an ass hole =L

  • SET THE JUICE, LOOSE!!!

  • Hoots mon!

  • Name of the song?

  • I love the dancing nessie.

  • theres a musse on the lusse around this huse

  • Lord Rockingham's Eleven... Mmmm. :)

  • Like.

  • I'm Scottish and when I was growing up as a kid we loved that advert! Haha!

The advert doesn't depict any Scottish person in the 20th/21st century, but neither do many adverts with English people.

I can't believe people were offended by this! Get a life and get your heads out your arses!

  • @fenix182 Or we say in Scotland when someone is being stupid

"Away and bile (boil) yer heid!"

  • Hoots Mon, there's juice loose aboot this huice

  • Awesome. I always wondered what a typical real Scottish person was like. Now I know. Thanks!

  • 1/4 Scottish myself and I love this advert. So much for "offending the Scots".

  • My favourite bit is when the nessie claps it's flippers and when the bagpipes start dancing.

  • ah makes me proud to be scottish lol

  • get a grip anxresi. its because of people like you we are living in an increasingly stale society. my late uncle lived in scotland and he liked this advert because he had a sense of humour. Ive always seen the scots (can I call you scots, or is that offensive to you too?) as proud people, and the likes of weestacy08 and Macmadman94 will tell you below it is a cool stereotype to have on TV.

  • Im a scotsman through and through dundee born and bred and we do say hoots mon theres joose loose aboot this hoose thanks to this ad of course lol ive just taught my son how to say it lol ive never met anyone that didnt like this ad

  • I'm a PROUD Scot & I'm not offended by this advert. Your Granny obviously doesn't have a sense of humour? I think this advert is hilarious :). HOOTS MON THERE'S JUICE LOOSE ABOOT THIS HOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pure class! This needs to be back on the telly

  • If you have to be assigned a stereotype, then this is a pretty cool one to have. What's wrong with with being a dancing, kilt-wearing old dude whose moose heads and bagpipes dance for him on upon the toss of a wine gum? I'd say it makes Scots look pretty awesome.

  • @Wibblywoo12345 I'd say it looks like he needs to stay off the LSD and get a proper job at Mcdonald's..

  • This is awesome.

  • Oh i, I remember this advert.

  • @anxresi Stuff off. It's a bit of fun and if you can't see that then quite frankly you have no life. I suspect that if you phone the police about it they'll tell you where to go, as frankly they have much better things to do than to waste time listening to one sad little person complaining about a perfectly harmless video posted on the internet 3 years ago.

  • @temptationfeeder You are an extremely rude young man and I'll be telling my mum about you also that Tango ad is bad for the likes of David Dickinson you should take that one down too and should be very ashamed of yourself because what you are doing is wrong

  • @anxresi bahahahahaha!!!!

  • @temptationfeeder Now you're being nasty about the baha men who did that wonderful song about letting the dogs out have you no shame

  • @anxresi I'm Scottish and I don't think it's offensive at all, mate. That's like saying we're not aloud to show kilts on TV because it'll a Scotsman cry.

  • @anxresi this advert was never banned because they brought it back last year and dont try and pull the im offend because my nationality im scottish too and i like this ad

  • @anxresi

I think we should all learn to understand when someone is taking the piss.....och aye!!

  • @elibodkin Finally, someone gets it!!

  • @temptationfeeder i agree with u m8 there is nought wrong with this ad i think its very very funny and im frm glasgow

  • @anxresi In other words u and ure granny got no sense of humour!! Its people like u that kill the fun for everyone else! fk sake im british and we get the piss taken outta us all the time like in the simpsons or family guy etc! I dont care cause its jus a laugh! lighten up buddy!

  • @anxresi what you have typed is a load of shit and i am from scotland and proud of it and i am not offended at all get a life you idiot and stop trying to make people feel bad you complete and utter fool

  • @JAVIDO1 too right m8

  • @anxresi you seriously need to lighten up mate

  • @anxresi im frm glasgow and there IS NOTHING DISGUSTING aboot this advert SO GET LOST

  • @anxresi good for her (NOT sarcastcic) though i think its funny

  • @anxresi It's not offencive. I'm welsh. They take the piss out of the Welsh all the time. Call us Sheep Shaggers and think we all farm. The English. They say they are all posh. This isn't stereotypical. Just because not all Scots wear kilts, or because not all Welsh farm, and not all english are posh, doesn't mean it's offencive. There are, believe or not,Scotts who have Bagpipes and wear kilts and i'm sure they'd be very offended if you they heard about you're gran complaining.

  • @anxresi HOOTS MAN THERE'S A JUICE A LOOSE ABOUT THIS HOUSE!

    MAYNARDS SAYS CHEW!

  • great ad!!

  • GREAT MUSIC FOR GETTING PISSED!

  • pure barri man

  • HAHAHAHahahaha.

  • Fuckin class!!

  • We used to sing this in school in in the early 90's the ads in the 80's and 90's were so much fun. Today they're fucking web 2.0 looking puiles of shit.

  • I always thought it was "theres a moose loose aboot this hoose"

but that would sound canadian not scottish lol

  • In case you're wondering, the music is Lord Rockingham's XII - Hoot's Mon

  • oh shit man buckfast is hell for a hang over

  • omg my grandad was scottish and wen we used to visit him this was exactly wot happened in his house dancing bagpipes and everything

  • I believe you

  • @mouthybitch88 Hahahahahahaha

  • @mouthybitch88 Hahahahahaha that comment had me in stitches, no shit..

  • @mouthybitch88 Lololol.

  • @mouthybitch88 Your comment made my day. LOL!!

  • best ad ever, just wonderful.

  • wonder what ths guys doing now :D

  • probably shagging sheep and drinking buckfast lol

  • I believe this advert got taken down, as they were worried about setting bad stereotypes for Scottish people. Now, I'm Scottish and I LOVE THIS ADVERT! I don't care if we're known as a wine-gum-eating-crazy-dancing load of gingers!

  • I am Scottish & I can't stop laughing at this ad..LOL

  • lovin the bagpipes dance LOL!!!!!!

  • I love his dancing at 0:25 propa jokes!

  • I like the bit when he gives one to the moose head and when the Loch Ness monster is clapping.

  • Comment removed

  • What a great song.

  • do you know where we can buy these? :D

  • anywhere in the UK

  • Anyone else notice his kilt is on backwards?

  • this use to scare me when i was a kid

    no idea why

  • ''moose, loose, aboot this hoose!'' so thats what he was sayin haha

  • Actually it's "Hoots, man! (Scottish expression) There's juice, loose, aboot this hoose."

  • This ad reminded me of that scene in Evil Dead 2, where Ash is tripping out and everything in the cabin is laughing with him.

  • The Legend that is Scottie McClue uses this theme in his show. Dinky Do!

  • oohhhh so harsh lol but so very true

  • What say Maynards hire Gordon Brown for their 2010 commercial. After all, he'll be looking for work :)

  • Comment removed

  • Should be called LSD Gums if thats what happens when you eat them.
