Would you consider the MT101 a good "gateway" shoe to barefoot style running? Due to its minimalist design. In comparison to a conventional running shoe and something along the lines of a Miminus/Trail Glove where would you say it stands on heel thickness?
I run in the 100's and love them. I'm anxious to try the 101's. May I ask how you got a pair so early? I thought they weren't being released until October.
@chattyfatty The 101's are better, that is for sure. The upper just makes your foot feel more secure, and the heel is more comfortable if you have ever tried to run without socks. It isn't totally different obviously, but it is a considerable improvement. If you like the 100, you will probably love the MINIMUS line that is coming out early 2011, check out the Anton Krupicka video regarding them on the Tube. I made friends with the NB store locally so that helps with getting new shoes!
