Genesta was evil. If you didn't get the fruit, but saved Genesta, Genesta wouldn't take you to get the fruit you forgot to get. Why? Couldn't she have teleported you to the tree if you forgot to pick it? Obviously this so-called good fairy is just a narcissist, putting her own needs before that of Rosella's. Narcissists will step upon and use those to get what they want. That's what Genesta did.

1:36 That's hilarious! And I know exactly what you mean. My first PC from 1998 had a proper PC speaker, not these tinny things they have nowadays, and I remember how annoying the sound was. Not actually eardrum-shattering, but not something you could listen to discretely, nor would you want to listen it for long anyway if you have real audio.

Well Paw if you ever read this I found a website the shows how to get up the whale's tongue on the 1st try and I find using the mouse to move Rosella up stairs works best as well as using a USB gamepad to also move Rosella (like the cave) since she stops on a dime. Also have you tried a MT-32 emulator? I got mine at the Sierra Help Pages and it makes the music in this game sound way better then using Adlib or Soundblaster. Look for MT-32 YouTube KQ4 videos to see what I mean.

The old AGI games actually had great polyphonic music if you played them on a Tandy. As a musician you should definitely check them out. Try Dosbox Tandy emulation on all the old AGI games like KQ1-3 and SQ1-2. You can definitely tell they put a lot of effort in the music composition.

Oh and Rosella does end up marrying Edgar in the end of Kings Quest seven AFTER of course seeing the his beautiful kingdom. So it is a fail of moral code eventually as well. Lmao

Actually that IS Edgar's true form as a handsome prince. In Kings Quest 7 (another quest with Rosella and her mother) you find that he was kidnapped by Lolette when he was a baby and actually is the son of a King and Queen of the skies. Where Rosella and her mother eventually go in the seventh quest. :)
