  • I just bought this gun yesterday an it's my first. Ever since my girlfriend and I have been loving together it's been something I've wanted as piece of mind. I look forward to using it at my local range and I hope I made a good choice. Turner's had a Glock .40 they were recommending but I didn't like the lighter feel of it. I saw the Sigs on the other end of the store and I thought they all looked great. As a first time gun owner with no prior experience to compare it to, I hope I have made a g

  • whats the upside to joing the nra?

i have a friend who has been in the nra for years and he gets alot of crazy constertive mail from them telling him to vote republican ect and i think thats just crazy as im a die hard democrat...

and yes i own guns and i hunt and i beleive in the rite to bear arms dont beleive what fox tells you about democrats...

  • @with33 NRA fights for your second amendment rights specifically. They support individuals based upon gun rights voting records or ideas, not just their political affiliation. They even give Harry Reid, who I think is absolutely hurting American's with his ideology, high marks because of his voting record on gun issues. I know there are democrats who are very pro gun, but they're in the vast minority of that party. Democrats have voting records that tell me what they're all about.

  • @GodnCountry65 lol tbh i can live with the dems gun laws i can accept only using a gun for hunting and protection purpose i can accept not being able to buy an assult rifle or not being able to cary my gun into a public place such as a mall or sport function.

what i cannot live with is the medicine companies ruling america and the oil companies and the other rich people who control the republican party.

as i see it dems are for the working man republicans are for the rich.

  • Thank you for the video!

  • I'm thinking about gettn this as a carry gun. How has it been for u so far? Thank u

  • When buying from gunbroker the gun is in your name right... Ps I really dont know alot about the gun world but im lookin for a home defense gun that not 500$!

  • @GungoBANG614 First you need to find a local FFL dealer, they have lists on gunbroker. You will have to purchase or win an auction on a a firearm, then you will send the seller the paperwork for your FFL dealer so that the gun can be shipped to them. They will do the background check and give you your firearm should you pass. Make sure you know your local gun laws. Nanny states will limit the capacity of the magazines and some other crazy regulations.

  • I bought one of these in .40 a couple of years ago, they are one very nice gun IMO. Really glad to see them re-introduced. I managed to pick up a bunch of California ten-shot mags dirt-cheap for practice when the '2022 faded out in 2010. One of the nicest triggers around in my opinion.

  • How much did it cost?

  • @GungoBANG614 I purchased mine off Gunbroker for $380 including transfer fees at my FFL.

  • I got a sp2022 with the sig night sights...spend the extra money for the night sights...I did run into an issue, in 2010 or so sig changed the front of the frame at the rail and it wouldn't fit into holsters. Blackhawk has made adjustments to their Serpa so it fits now...will fit don Hume JIT holster for the xd40...

  • I bought the sp2022 and I love it thanks for the great review that really helped with my decision to purchase it...

  • Ouch, looks like they jacked it up. Says low quantity available, maybe that's why? Makes me wish I had ordered at least one more. Try top gun supply.

  • Hey I was checking out the website for numrich gun parts for the extra mag for the sig sp2022.....but when I looked up the sp2009 for the extra mag I was seeing it go for $56 each for the 15 round clip.....am I looking in the wrong place or did they totally up the price??? I'd definitely love to get a few extra mags for my sp2022 if they are still $27!!!! BTW...great review. I apprecaite your time making the vid! Have you done any mods to your sig???

  • do all guns come in a nifty looking box?

  • @dekskii some do, most are cheezy cheap junk since pretty much nobody uses them as carrying cases. Glocks are a good example of the cheap ones.

  • im 14 and i can shoot this gun recoil free... i love this gun a lot...

  • Damn, this is what I originally wanted when looking for a 9mm...unfortunately I felt it was too big from my hands, even with the smallest back piece installed. Went instead for a S&W 908, and think it was a very bad decision, it doesn´t feel comfortable and for me doesn´t fall naturally into your hands' grip. Should had gone instead for a Walther P99....or even this one, I am sure if I tested it today, I woudln´t feel it big at all...nice review.

  • Hey, GodnCountry, just wanted to let you know that I ended up buying my sp2022 months ago, thank you for your great review. It really helped a lot. You can look at my channel and see that I have it lol. Great gun, almost no issues at all, after 100 round break in, no problems at all! Thanks again

  • @PandaLuv925 Glad I could help, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

  • have you notice any wierd play between the slide and the frame because my friend its about to buy one and he is a bit conserned thanks

  • @TheFantasma82 It wiggles a little bit. I compared it to my glock, kahr, and 1911. It wiggles slightly more than the glock and kahr, but about the same as my 1911 which is my most accurate pistol. If you watch part 2 you can see the grouping that I get with it. I really love this pistol, especially considering how little I paid for it.

  • @TheFantasma82 I will try to post a short video of my comparison by the end of the week.

  • I glad it is that easy for you. Two years ago I got one and returned it as it was imposiible to get the pin out. I want to purchase a new one but am gun shy!

  • I glad it is that easy for you. Two years ago I got one and returned it as it was imposiible to get the pin out. I want to purchase a new one but am gun sghy!

  • When you purchased that gun was it has easy a syou portray to push that pin out for take dowm? Most people puncture their finger to take that pin out.

    Thanks

  • @ckirbyable Yes, the take down is really that easy, I do it with my bare finger all the time. It is not sharp at all.

  • What mag tip you talkin about?

  • @RoadHardOffRoad You can order magazines for the sp2009 cheaper than the sp2022 versions and they are actually nicer magazines. Look them up at Numerich parts.

  • Hey I just wanted to thank you for the "sig 2009 mag" tip.

I ordered 4 extras from Numrich for $27 each.

    Thank you

  • @jnjoblon No problem, my vids are for the "budget minded" gun enthusiast. You're actually the first to say something about it too.

  • a last question: where do you bought your gun?

  • oh sorry i just saw it is

  • Stop lowering the hammer with your thumb! Sigs can fire when the hammer is dropped by your thumb instead of using the decocker. Im sure youre just doing it becuz its kool.... but its a bad habit to start. The decocking lever blocks the firing pin from being struck when its used. Lowering the hammer with your thumb does not activate the firing pin block! Very dangerous!

Other wise it was a good review :-)

  • @556DOS45 You're right, but the same can be said about pretty much any firearm that uses an exposed hammer. I don't do it because its cool, but because its universal, I think a decock lever is actually the cool way. I decock my 1911, P22, P38, and Winchester all the same way. It's the only way to decock a revolver that has an exposed hammer as well, and all these will fire if not done correctly and safely.

  • @556DOS45 i get your point, ive actually seen my tard of a bud get himself in the foot with a 22 that way and i also get the treat as if loaded rule but clearly his gun is unloaded, and the decocker is kind of an awkward position

  • men, how much is the gun and the ammo?

  • @israelboucherzapata All depends on your area and the type of ammo you want to buy. Cheapest I've seen is $340 for the gun and $8/box for ball ammo.

  • this sig is 9mm?

  • best and most simple take down tutorial ive seen on youtube so far. thanks man.

  • @tylormurphy Thanks, I try not to be overly technical. These are for average Joe gun guys like myself and the majority of the viewers.

  • Also, op I have a p226 and a glock. Love my sig way more, good choice. Can't wait to pick up mine

  • @PandaLuv925 I have a glock 23 as well which I like and I love all the aftermarket parts I can get for it, but out of the box this thing is hard to beat.

  • I am buying it ! Too bad I live in ca where it will cost me $540 OTD :(

  • It has a spring holding the hammer away from the striker. Got mine at Academy for 399.00. That is a good deal. Mine came with two mags--but I did not get the extra grip....same deal.

  • Picked up one of these today for 399.00 at a local academy store which i thought was a pretty good deal went hope shot 5 clips in it and fell In love with this gun hope you enjoy it as much as i do . Just one question is this gun picky about hollow points? Haven't tried anything but ball bullets in it

  • @Danielson5690 I haven't planned on using it in a defensive roll so I have only run fmj's through it. I suspect it will do well based upon its design. In my experience, pistols with the feedramps built onto the barrel work well with hollowpoints.

  • Thank you for showing the trigger reset. IMO that's one of the most important, but least discussed aspects of a trigger. This is one of the VERY few gun reviews where the reviewer actually shows the reset. Good job!

  • @smileyguy1977 No problem, its a very important part of knowing a handgun and being able to use it efficiently. I want to show the weight on the trigger pull as well next time.

  • Good review! I recently picked up one of these gems. This is my first Sig, so I have no basis for comparison to the P series - but I'm pleased so far. Looking forward to getting to the range myself. If it shoots as well as it looks, and if it really has that Sig reliability, I think I'll be very happy with this gun. It really is a nice looking weapon.

  • @srv0wned Thanks, be sure to subscribe so you don't miss part 2. I am working on it already.
