I have lots of relatives living in Sichuan and my Grandfather came from there. I hope they'll rebuild their homes and lives soon. I also heard a very triumphant story about a man in Beichuan when the earthquake hits his family was killed instantly, but right away he went and help out the other people in need and just to think that after the disaster relief is done he can have a home to go back to but no family will be waiting for him..that is tragic, he and many people who helped out are heroes

Well, you don't have to go to the province to meet people who are from there or are natives of that province.

Of course, the mobility of the Chinese people these days means that people are not restricted to a certain province. You'll have a person whose father's side is from Shaoxing Zhejiang, mothers side from Hunan, and born in X'ian.

I guess good genes aren't restricted geographically.....but from personal experience I seen a lot of cute girls from Sichuan and Zhejiang/Shanghai.
