Actually, I like the new voice and look for Barbie. The look is cute, especially the eyes.

Kelly's voice: yes, we all grew up with it. But, now it seems too mature for Barbie. Barbie is a teenager, not someone in her late twenties. I think Diana (the new Barbie voice) sounds exactly how Barbie would like. A modern teenager. That's what Mattel was going for.

And lastly, I'm seriously obsessed with Sequin the Poodle. She's adorable. Hopefully she'll be in more movies :)

@kymry13 Exactly! Finally someone who feels the same way as me! I couldnt careless about the voice, but the actual movies are ruined! They are all mordern, barbie is now like a diva and there are no more princess' or princes' or magical forests (Swan lake) or gowns or evil people and stuff you know? I dont know if I can ever watch any more Barbies! I wish they'd bring back the old plots like nutcracker, swan lake, princess and the pauper, repunzul, etc.

I do mind the voice, but I wouldn't mind getting used to it if they brought back the movies that moved me and taught lessons to little girls. My mum and I watch the movies sometimes and she picks up on the morals too. They just totally stopped with them at 'Mariposa'! It is sad for me because I am nearly 20 and I grew up watching them. I remember when I first watched 'Rapunzel' at 10 years old! :(

I had my douts to, but I finally sat down and watched it. While I agree, there's something to be said for Barbie Rapunzal and the Nutcracker, these belong in a seperate catagory. I found that the movie didn't revolve around the magic of the faries but rather took realistic events and added a little bit of barbie charm to them. I think it's nice that they're getting back to the old inspirational messages of barbie. they were losing it for awhile.

Kelly has been Barbie's voice since i got my first Movie for cristmas when i was 6 in 2001. The nutcracker. I think it is Horrible that they have replaced her ! ! ! This movie was okay...i guess. Ken was cute. And for once the "lover" didnt have brown hair. But the things that bothered me were- how unrealistic it looked. The old barbie movies looked...more real. But purple roofs? Come on. And also, its Europe. Mattel thought we wouldnt notice...but i did. Europeans drive on the opposite side of the road, on the opposite side of the car. my sister and I noticed something weird. kelly was fired cuz they wanted someone new and young in their voice. they made the movies kind of new hip modern young etc. Well in the beginning of this movie barbie was fired to be replaced by someone new...and the dude in the movie who put the zombie peas in said it was new and hip...i/k it doesn't exactly add up but we noticed it. let me know if i should explain clearer.
